Hello, would need some help for my approved wayspot.
Since wayfare website updated, I can check out my new wayspot (it is a indoor skate park) on the map, but I cannot find it since i look up the coordinate in the confirmation email, then i found they make it wrong, two locations are 180m apart.
I pretty sure it was right before i uploaded it, I was in that location and done the submission. So Idk why the location finally had been changed….
My wayspot on the map is a white dot (means not in the game, I.e. not a gym or pokestop)…but I want to edit the coordinate to the right place, as the skatepark is quite important for that place…
I don’t know where should I post to have the edit location request,
I tried the support chat on wayfarer website and give the right location(coordinate) and photos to the bot, then it gave me a case number last night said I will receive an update within several hrs, but I went back to the chat this morning, the chat history was cleared like nothing happened and I didn’t receive a reply , also the skate park wayspot still on the wrong location until now.
What can i do for this case?
If there’s a efficient way to communicate with reviewers/ staff of wayfarer, would like to try by myself, thank you
Good day and welcome to the forum! I have moved the thread to Nomination Support as the situation given seems to be the prevailing behavior.
Reviewers can move the pin to represent what they think would be the most accurate location of the object/place.
My understanding is that the chat does not save per account but rather within the browser used.
If you may try to open another ticket, keep the ticket number for the Wayspot Appeals . Follow the format for this section, giving the geotagged images as additional information.
You can also post the wayspot and what details you have here and see if the team can intervene directly. This is not guaranteed though.
If you lose help chat history, another method you can use to begin an email chain is the form linked at the top here under “Wayspot removals”
As you can see in the preview, this can also be used for modifications. If you use this form, the questions it asks may not match up to what you want to do, so just pick something to get it started, then explain in the text box. If the acknowledgement email asks for your credentials as property owner, just ignore that. A human will reply to you. You can reference that you have already submitted this to help chat but lost the chat history.
Be sure you are only requesting the edit for actual physical world corrections, not to get a Wayspot to show in Pokemon Go. There is no reason to mention S2 cells or the game at all, since those are not relevant to being a Wayspot.
Thank you the reply! I had tried to look at it, but here the few options seems not suitable for the case, but this part is required, so I just hesitated…
And then I went back to the wayfarer map to look for the wrong location wayspot, there’s a report button on that, I choose “ Location does not exist” , then fill in the supporting statement , told them the wayspot is submitted by me and finally got the location wrong , also had the Google map link attached ,
may be it is not a wise method (report the approved wayspot by myself) ? But it seems more direct and appropriate way to tell the mistake(?) , after that i received a email said they had received the location report (like those nominated location emails) ,
now i can just wait for the reply? Or I can go to the correct place to make a new nomination?
