You deserve an apology. The staff here can easily type one.
Just got an email telling me I could ignore these.
[Edit: I was wrong and it did say “apologize”.]
I wonder if anyone else got these messages.
You’re right! It was twelve months ago that Niantic posted that.
It makes me unhappy when I see over-powered words in feedback. Triggering some piece of automation gets your input labeled as ‘spam’. Doing something differently than a staffer feels is right gets called out as ‘abuse’.
@MargariteDVille used language to color several parts of their message as opinion, and the bulk of the rest was citing Niantic directly. I took the middle part as speculative, but likely to be correct.
Even if you have direct contradictory evidence, if it is not available to the community it seems unfair to call ‘liar’.
What are your bona fides?
not in the original unedited version… there was 0 signs of speculation
I cannot respond to what I haven’t seen. I do think words like ‘seems’, and ‘likely’ are important to separate what we think from what has been established, proven or confirmed.
It’s probably better if we all learn to use them more often.
Oh that’s great, I’m pleased they already acknowledged it was not a real warning. You’re brilliant wayfarer and if you need banning then the rest of thewhole program would too.
With the types of edit’s I am doing, I would be top picking if @cyndiepooh’s edits were considered as spam.
Get in line after me
Spammy spam spam with some abusive animals? Or tidying up with a fun picture of a watery pitch. Who knows
This is very strange indeed.
The Wayfarer team has previously stated that when they issue warnings to players, they verify the content themselves.
And while I don’t know everything about your behavior, from what I can see it doesn’t seem like enough to warrant a warning.
The team staff should clarify the process that led to the warning on this.
The hidden or unwritten rules of Niantic, Who follow reports of the some players for avoid that others players can submit new way spot for Ingress.
Oh, a new wrinkle. I just discovered that for most of the Wayspots where I submitted more than one photo, at least one has been removed, and usually all but one. If Niantic only wanted one photo submitted per Wayspot for the challenge, they should have said so. I usually submit at least two every time I submit a photo, challenge or no challenge. Apologies if trying to provide good photo choices and documentation of the Wayspot is spam. I certainly hate that I wasted my time and nominations submitting them, and then staff time in sorting through and choosing which to remove.
That’s…
…upsetting. Were the photos accepted and synced, and then deleted? Or erased from your Contribution Management, or what?
It’s almost like they’ve misplaced their abacus, and that’s the only way they can adjust your winnings from the challenge.
So have I understood correctly….
For all of the locations you submitted new photos during the challenge, the Team have gone through and reduced the contribution down to 1 by rejecting the others?
Wow.
That’s not good at all. I would be upset.
And it feels a mean spirited action.
Virtual hug
Not rejecting… dirty deleting.
Yes. Accepted, seen on the portal, then removed from the portal.
It isn’t down to one for all of them. But plenty that still show accepted in my contributions that were live on pokestops or portals have been removed.
I have not received any new emails rejecting any of the previously accepted ones.
That is shocking! Same Wayspots mentioned in the three warning emails? Random wayspots you submitted pictures during the challenge?
FWIW, I still have multiple pictures on a gazebo, submitted during the challenge. I happened on it during Golden Hour, and it looked so pretty I submitted pictures from 3 different angles.
no wayspots were mentioned in the three emails. i addressed one that in house review rejected in my appeal. these were not rejected. just removed.
That seems to be an appropriate phrase.
