Title edit status: "In Niantic Voting". Is this normal?

Hello everyone,

I recently found a Wayspot with a significant typo in the title (the words were all run together without spaces). I submitted an edit to fix the spacing and correct the title.

I noticed that the status of my edit immediately went to “In Niantic Voting” instead of the usual community voting.

Is this standard behavior for title edits? I just want to understand if I did something different or if these types of text edits usually go directly to the internal team.

It is normal for some submissions of different types to go to Niantic.
It is just a way of checking that all is well.

Oh, okay, more than anything it seemed like a punch in the eye to me written like that. Even though in reality it makes little difference.
