I would like to appeal a removal of a wayspot.

    This wayspot has been removed in the last few days it seems. I have not been over this way for a few days atleast.

    This is an official trail marker for an official Pilgrimage route in Norway, that goes from the Swedish border all the way up Trondheim in the middle of Norway. This specific section of the trail goes from the Swedish border to Oslo and then joins Gudbrandsdalsleden that goes the rest of the way up north.

    The marker is also visibile on Google Maps Streetview all the way back to 2016, and the markers are beeing replaced every now and then when they fade so that users can continue to follow the trail.

    Adding also 2 photos taken today (August 4th 2026) proving that the markers (there is 1 on each side of the post) still exists today. The location is public property and on the pavement to its safe for pedestrians.

The trail marker is showing clearly on streetview.

Out of interest, was this a gym or a pokestop?

This was a pokestop, not a gym. So no-one trying to game the board to get a “home-gym” atleast I think.

I suspect it’s a common reason for abusive removal reports. I can’t say 100% that the removal report was abusive, just that your evidence supports the wayspot still existing.

If you don’t get staff responding, you might want to take a video and post it somewhere (YouTube, google drive, anywhere) and link to it, making sure that video is as clear as your photos and also shows something that is definitely from now, to provide evidence of the marker still existing.

It isn’t possible to know what evidence was provided to support the removal.
