Hinkley Common Trail Marker” looks like a standard PROW marker and not an actual trail, I would lean towards rejecting that as not being distinct.

Nothing wrong with a PROW, if properly described.

Yes I use the old 6inch maps to see if there are field names etc.
There is a wealth of resource for describing a good route.
