  • City: Eindhoven

  • Additional Information (if any): This is a trail marker for the Breinpad, a unique named trail created in 2018 that takes you through Landgoed De Grote Beek, a very nice forested area that is filled with artwork and other interesting sights.

Link to the trail’s website:

You can download a PDF file on their website that shows you a map of the entire trail and the placed and artworks it will take you to.

This is an excellent example of a hiking trail that deserves to be represented, so in my opinion, its trail markers should absolutely not be removed and I would like to see this one restored.

Those coordinates take me to a Shell petrol/gas station.

Those are the coordinates where it was apparently located.

I haven’t been there myself (and this marker is not one of my own submissions), but looking at the map of the trail:

And Google Maps:

It does look like the trail runs awfully close next to the gas station, so I’d say it’s plausible.

There’s a camera app called GPS Map Camera that embeds the GPS coordinates into pictures you take from your phone, it would be helpful if you could travel out there and take a picture of the trial maker with the app and then post it here to confirm its existence.

Otherwise, it’s very difficult to verify that it’s there

Thanks for the appeal, @GeneralSecura. We reviewed your appeal and stand by our decision to retire the Wayspot in question.
