Description of the issue
My in-game codename name does not appear on any wayspot submissions that I have had recently approved that now appear in Pokemon Go. I confirm that the “Codename Display for Wayfarer Submissions” is still enabled under my Wayfarer Profile. Is there another setting that I should have enabled or is this just a bug?
I’m unable to commit to it at this time. Having said that, Web submissions is at a very nascent stage at this moment and we have multiple improvements planned.
I had missed that the first time through, and had recently been pointed to this. But now I can’t find that recent conversation, so am glad Gendgi posted the link in WDD
Is there any update on this? It has been a few months now. Part of the thrill for me is seeing my name appear on stops that I have created so I am holding off using the web submission for any that I want to see my name on until I know they definitely will.
If that were possible, I would love to see that applied to all the old Ingress-submitted nominations that didn’t show the nickname in Pokémon GO as well.
I think I’m the outlier, I prefer my name not to be on the POI, which is one of the main reasons I only submitted through Ingress before the split. To each their own.
Is it safe to assume then that the statistics for any wayspot created via the website will still be included in the monthly Wayfarer Recognition Email?
There’s an option to choose, but even though mine is set to show, it doesn’t. So I think we should be able to choose, and have the choice actually carried out
Based on Aaron’s response, I assume if it was going onto a pile to be looked at, he’d have said so. So I assume this will never be fixed and if I want credit for any stops I should swap back to the app.
