Unable to make profile public

Not sure if this is the correct channel for this, but I couldnt find any other contact information. I am trying to fluff out my profile a bit but I cannot seem to get my profile to become public, so that it’s viewable by everyone.

I have looked through other profiles and couldnt find any specific reason why some people have public profiles while others do not. I have unchecked the “hide my public profile” in the Preferences > Profile settings, but still no effect. Is there a certain threshold that has to be reached in activity before things such as location and website appear when you view my profile?

Hello and welcome,

There are certains tiers, or trust levels, with Discourse, which the forums run off of, and so certain things won’t be available right away to new users. These trust levels can also be adjusted by the admin of the forums, so staff have made some adjustments.

However, as you post and interact more, you’ll get more benefits. You should be able to edit your profile once you reach Basic status.
