I was trying to move it to the correct location: 48.494089135264, -123.3345517598868
See additional photos. I submitted video evidence to them as well. Beach Trail crosses Ash Road and continues running parallel to Shelbourne Ave. I am not sure how this trail marker does not meet the “policy criteria”? Is it because it is now to close to other ones? It isn’t on the actual road, but on the trail.
ugh this is an unfortunate crossfire victim of abuse cleanup elsewhere in the world.
even by the somewhat recently posted, more stringent guidelines for trail markers this one seems perfectly fine so this is a surprising outcome. hopefully @NianticAaron can take a look at what’s happened.
Yes I was fixing the locations and three wayspots were actually closer together but were intially placed farther apart. Could be because of minimum distances, to get different cells, or because it is hard to pick a spot on the map.
This trail marker is actually on the trail. Technically you could walk from the parking lot down to the end of this trail then along the Douglas Trail up towards the lot again without crossing a road. So I would think this is still accessible. Although the crossing is an uncontrolled walk. We have a few in this area for this large regional park.
i’m really sorry that so many of your efforts to improve the wayspots around you have been met with wildly incorrect and inconsistent decisions from niantic. i hope that you stick it out and know that lots of us stand with you.
I am very upset about this. This is just not right, and you need to seriously reconsider how your poor decisions are causing your users to mistrust and or just quit wayfarer!
Yup. I am now unsure about edits. I submitted a location edit for a community centre yesterday and it was removed Still is in ingress but it is not in the lightship database. My window crashed so I didn’t get to see the decision from help chat since they do not email you.
This has been restored in light of the latest clarifications. Having said that, if there are cases like this one, I would suggest to create new appeals so that we do not miss out on reviewing them.
