Scultura ornamentale in pietra raffigurante un leone in posa fiera, posta a guardia dell’ingresso di un edificio dal design moderno e distintivo. Il palazzo è noto per i suoi balconi aggettanti dalle forme geometriche spinte, che lo rendono un esempio unico di architettura contemporanea locale nella zona di Genzano.
L’elemento si trova nel comune di Genzano di Roma, in una zona di confine molto vicina a Campoleone. La statua è un arredo urbano permanente e artistico, visibile in modo sicuro dal marciapiede pubblico senza invadere la proprietà privata (è posizionata sul muro perimetrale esterno). L’edificio al civico 15, con i suoi balconi a punta facilmente riconoscibili, funge da prova inconfutabile della posizione su Street View ma anche in real life.
A: Location. Single Private Residences include the the boarders (wall, Fence etc). Even attached to the outer part of the wall would make it ineligible.
B: This sort of item is sold in many UK “Garden Centres” as “Garden Ornaments”. IMO this is similar to placing a Garden Gnome.
I don’t know where it’s sold. But it’s been there for years. At least since 2008 (doing a search on Maps). And who knows, that’s an apartment, not a single-family home.
I would still likely Reject if I assumed that had been placed by a Resident.
As a statue I would expect it to be something placed in a public space and maintained by the authorities. This just looks like it was placed as the owner liked it.
That’s definitely true. It’s something put there by a private individual. However, it seemed to me to be an art form that characterized the area and could potentially encourage exploration. A bit like the murals that are so accepted these days. Almost none of them are authorized by the municipality.
