I have a question about viewing platforms. Here in Germany, we have one at Mark 51°7, and it is also listed on Maps. You can even recognize it on the satellite view. The problem is that there is neither a sign nor a bench.
Mark 51°7 is an urban development project located on the site of the former Bochum Werk I. This viewing platform is intended to allow people to overlook the entire area.
So it would fall under the category of “a great place for exploration,” or am I completely wrong about that?
What would be the best way to submit something like this? For example, I took a photo of the dead end and, as a supporting photo, the path going down as well as the actual view. Which of these photos would be best to use?
Since I generally believe that reviewers make their mind up within a second of seeing the submission, so basically the title and the photo, I think a location like this will have difficult being accepted.
It’s eligible if it is what you say it is, but it’s difficult to make it look like anything.
The utterly boring thoughtless horrendous landscape in which it has been set does not help. So much lost opportunity.
thank you for your opinion. so i assume i will need an appeal for this. thats fine for me, its just important for me that i dont nominate anything thats against the rules
They can be a bit hit or miss but this one had no bench or sign and was accepted by Niantic (not local reviewers) so they must have thought it was fine
