Wayfarer keeps signing me out mid review

Hi!

I’ve been reviewing stuff pretty frequently at the moment and enjoy it a lot, when reviewing today I’m getting no more than a couple of reviews in before I’m hit with an error (no message, just a grey circle with a question mark) and have to refresh the page which prompts me to sign in with my Google account again. Internet connection is secure and stable as I’m doing this from my home and I haven’t reviewed enough to be on cooldown or anything like that, plus no message to tell me that I am on cooldown! My rating hasn’t dropped below ‘Great’ either so I’m not too sure what is going on with it and can’t see any obvious reasons for this to keep happening, is anyone else having this issue too?

I am not having this issue. I am the last person you would want giving technical advice, but it could help people who can diagnose the problem (if there is one) if you give more information about how you are accessing the Wayfarer site. For example, I am using Chrome on a laptop.

Every time I refresh I have to sign in again. But also, when what he was talking about happens, I just go to my contributions page and back to the review page and then it works fine again

While it’s possible, they did start this process 2 days ago, and this is the first report. And we all know Niantic doesn’t do a ton of work on the weekends.

While I haven’t started reviewing today and only get this issue if I login on another device, I haven’t had this issue. Yes, if you login on your computer, but then login on your phone while still logged in on your computer, you will be logged out of your computer.

For me this happens maybe 20x each day.
Mostly when I changed between pogo ↔ wayfarer or forum ↔ wayfarer.

But I know that you aren’t effected by the issue (you stay always great or drop for only a few hours), so your experience could be different :woman_shrugging:t2:

I usually am just on Wayfarer and the forums on my computer. I do check my profile when I get up on my phone every day, and from time to time after submitting nominations.

I just know that can cause the issue, as sometimes I have logged in on my phone while still being logged in on my computer, and I’m logged off on my computer. Otherwise, it may happen once or twice a week for me, which I don’t see as a huge issue.

Thanks everyone! It does seem to be a bit better this evening so maybe it was just having a moment earlier! While I wasn’t on my phone earlier, only using Wayfarer on Firefox on my PC, it’s definitely something useful to remember in the future as I do tend to review on my phone while working! Not sure what happened earlier but lets hope it’s all okay now. :slight_smile:

I do recall someone else having trouble with the wayfarer site using Firefox back in May. If it gets irritating again, you could try Chrome.

Glad that it’s fine now. Let us know if the issue persists.
