This street view shows shops on the ground floor and a communal entrance in blue leading to what is likely to be a stairwell with a set of letter boxes in green.
It is ok for a property to have restricted access provided it is not a single family private residential property. And this appears to be a multi family space so it’s ok.
It’s actually the terrace part of the Barocco Imbiss Bar and it’s now closed [Barocco Imbiss Kriens - Google Search](as shows when you google the bar) , the garden of the property is in the back of the building, the location is also wrong because on PoGo map it’s on the street and I reported it as private residence because yesterday we were 10 people trying to do a raid and a person who lives in this building screamed at us and told us to go away so we ended up not doing the raid.
So we were restricted from playing the game.
Reporting multi family private residence as single family private residence is wrong.as above said, object inside multi family residence and/or gated community is eligible. Incorrect location is another matter. You can edit the location but i guess it will make it harder to do raid. I am surprised that someone yelled at you. I dont think you need to go deep into the residence to access wayspot. I guess u can even raid from across the street
There are worse place than these like condo or factory where outsider cant access at all but it is still eligible. Wayfarer wont remove wayspot based on that basis
@elijustrying
The picture of TjoeMi is actually proving what I’m saying, the garden of the building is the green area behind, while the terrace/garden with the statue is of the bar that now is closed for good, proved by google search link the I provided previously, so it is a private property and it is closed to the public so nobody can access it.
But is it a “Single Family Private Residential Property”? Do people who live here still have access to it? If people who are allowed to be here have safe pedestrian access to something, then it does not meet removal criteria.
What I would do in this situation is contact the property owner - I usually find them online and send an email - and let them know they can ask for removal. Niantic will honor property owner requests. I usually tell them to search on “remove Pokestop” since most people hate to click on links sent to them, but it is this form: Request modification or removal of a PokéStop or Gym – Pokémon GO
It’s a bar and it’s closed, out of business, I honestly don’t know if there’s an owner anymore, the public can’t access it, even the tenants of the building, the access to the terrace where the statue is, is only through the entrance of the bar and not through the entrance of the building.
this is the business google shows there now. it seems like they would be easy to reach out to if niantic doesn’t honor this appeal. which they may with the ownership change, but idk.
Red - Chiangami Massage Kriens - no access to the pokestop area nor to the garden behind the building.
Blue - Entrance of the building, where people live, it has a garden behind, no access to the pokestop area.
Green - The Barocco Bar, permanently closed, the only access to the pokestop area.
Purple - the area of the pokestop, only accessible through Barocco Bar
Even if bar closed permenently, the object is still there. New owner might come up. Its different if the object got removed. Anyway the location is not single family private residence so i think its still eligible. Just think of it like gated community where you cant enter and just move on. If you believe this is incorrect you can try reporting wayspot
Thanks for the appeal, @tomermoon! We took another look at the Wayspot in question and decided that it does not meet our criteria for removal at this time.
It is not my decision at all, anyone can check and contribute.
Simply because you as a member of the general public can’t physically go there does not mean it meets removal criteria.
Nothing you have said indicates that where this is situated is part of an individual home.
Can I ask a different question that is not directly wayfarer related
if the location is pinned on the street (although wrong) why is there any current issue around access and being able to interact in a reasonable way?
You can request a location move to the correct the misplacement via helpchat on the wayfarer site - photo evidence of the correct position helps.
As players it is your responsibility to be aware of the environment around you and act with consideration. If your were noisy then simply ensure you are quiet and respectful not only to the residents but I am sure you dont want to deprive other players who might interact in a polite manner of the opportunity to do so. I dont understand given the layout why as a local group you can’t find a way to raid respectfully at this location. There is a large interaction distance.
No player is entitled to be able to play at every location. That needs to be something that is simply accepted.
As well as total removal as @cyndiepooh has described I have known that a gym is simply altered so that no raids happen. This prevents the problems that larger groups may pose.
I have two of these I look at every day on my nearby where a church got fed up with raiders and had them turned off. I wish they had just had the gyms removed so they could be replaced elsewhere.
The position of the gym was moved to the right position of the statue and now it’s inaccessible from the map😩
It’s the second gym in the cell, the other one is Hugo Bachmann 1960 and it’s not so far from it
I understand that it’s not possible to remove it so it would be amazing to change this gym to a pokestop and turn another gym in an area where we all can gather safely and without problems in the cell.
Grosshof Park POI is the best place for a gym because it’s a big park.
