I love this nomination and have submitted similar. IMO, this encourages exploration. I love adding the details linked in the brochure to the photo of the sign. I would have accepted this easily.
OMG I ate SO MANY pine nuts that week! They were so amazingly tasty!! And they were everywhere. You pay so much for them at the store, and they were just laying everywhere on the ground!
This is clearly a wrong appeal rejection reason. Like most trail signs the actual sign is bland but the educational information is provided elsewhere in a leaflet. That should be the focus not the sign which is simply an anchor.
PS I had to look up interpretive trail - seems to be a US term, and that more commonly it has information boards at each location but a leaflet was mentioned.
