Not sure if it’s a bug or not my new pokestop was approved Dec 2024, but still to this day hasn’t shown up. This is the first time this happens to me so trying to figure out why
Welcome to the forum @Arthas44
What you’re experiencing is not a bug, it’s just how Pokémon Go uses wayspots.
@cyndiepooh has a post that is often copied and pasted when this issue occurs, so allow me to quote that post:
I know the prompt tells you that you are submitting a “Pokestop” but you are actually submitting a Wayspot to the database. The Wayspot can only become a Pokestop or gym if it is alone in a level 17 S2 cell. This is a good article about S2 cells and how they are used in PoGo: https://pokemongohub.net/post/article/comprehensive-guide-s2-cells-pokemon-go/
Your nomination happens to be in the same Level 17 S2 Cell as both “Eglise Pré-d’en-haut” and “Hommages a nos Ancestres”. It’s in the wayfarer database, but as Pokémon Go only allows for one Pokéstop or one Gym per Level 17 S2 Cell, whichever of the two wayspots I just mentioned is already in Pokémon Go is blocking the other one from appearing, as well as your library.
Additionally, your nomination likely won’t be able to be used as a Power Spot, as it is too close to the wayspot for “Club D’Age D’Or”. This also means that although it was accepted back when Ingress was still syncing from the database, it will not have been able to show up in Ingress either.
To add to Hank’s post and Cyndie’s words, I think your nomination is around here where the yellow X is.
As there’s already a PokéStop in this S2 L17 cell, it doesn’t meet inclusion rules to be added to Pokémon GO.
It is also within 20m of an existing Portal in Ingress (where this map is from, an app called IITC which allows for some additional plug ins to the Ingress Intel Map) so doesn’t meet inclusion rules to be added to Ingress either.
Just noting the Ingress one as you submitted this before the maps split.
