Wayspot missing from game still showing approved in contributions

When submitting a Wayspot Appeal, make sure to include as much of the following information as possible:

  • Wayspot Title: Skogspaviljong
  • Location (lat/lon): 59.304733 / 18.032486
  • City: Stockholm
  • Country: Sweden
  • Additional Information (if any): Waypoint contributed 2025-02-03 and is still showing as approved in my list of contributions.

Waypoint is missing from the game and is not showing on submission map in game. The structure is still standing and is reachable, nothing has changed at the location. What has happened with the wayspot?

If i am guessing It seems to be in school property. Someone probably report it. Your contribution page doesnt have anything to do with its current status. It will remain its approved status even when the wayspot is gone

I’m not seeing school property here.

What was the submission? It appears to be under trees with no streetview, so it is hard to see if anything exists there.

The building to the west and south is listed as school

If this is not on school property, you need to find where is the border.

Yes, there is a school on the across the walkway. While Open street map in no way is authoritative it does not show it being school property. I see someone submitted a wayspot “Klätterkoja” just slightly north (less than 10m) from my submission. If this is school property it would also be ineligible.

What would be required to get the wayspot re-instated?

Hello and Welcome,

We are obviously just guessing at the moment that it has been reported so the 1st thing you need is evidence that it does exist at the location you placed it.

With no street view you will need photos with the GPS Co-ordinates, several photos showing it with items that are shown on Satellite or a short video..

We dont know why its removed. We are just wayfarer like you and can only guess. When wayspot gone, it usually means someone report them. The only reason i can think for now is school issue and if the wayspot is no longer there (non local people cant confirm because there are no street view and the trees are blocking,).

I suggest you to make video to proof the wayspot still exist. Start from place which have identifiable building or landmark visible from satelite. Record any tall building or landmark in surrounding wayspot. It will help confirm that the object is still there.
