The Waypoint used to be named “Det Lille Teater”. I noticed a name edit suggestion for it last week when reviewing and was immediately suspicious, as I saw it as a repurposing of the Wayspot - from the theater “Det Lille Teater”, to the elf on their sign. I flagged it as possible abuse, and noted that the elf feature had not been present for several years. I have attached the current photo from Ingress, which as far as I am aware was also the photo for the Det Lille Teater up until its namechange and subsequent removal.
I now see that the name edit has gone through, and that the Wayspot has since been removed. I assume that is due to a report that the feature is no longer present. I took these photos during Grookey Community Day on Sunday the 18th just in case, and gave a thumbs up to a more recent photo. I hope that can confirm that Det Lille Teater still exists and in that location, even though the hanging artwork has been changed from an elf to a pair of theater masks; but with the theater as the Waypoint, that should hardly matter.
I hope that there are sufficient grounds for reinstatement and a namechange reversal back to Det Lille Teater. I am at least very much under the impression that the physical theater itself was the nominated and approved Wayspot. This was a Gym on the raid day route of the 5630-member Campfire Group “Pokémon GO - CPH Downtown”, making this removal particularly frustrating for a rather large community. I also hope that you will consider if the name edit submission was abuse. The hanging elf appears on Streetview photos from June 2017, but not from October 2018 or in any of the newer photos - I find it hard to believe that it was a good faith name edit submission by a person who had physically visited the area.
My apologies if there is anything I have missed, or if there is another reason that the Wayspot was removed. Thanks in advance,
Jakob
