Wayspot removal appeal

  • Wayspot Title: Hordern House Community Day Center

  • Location (lat/lon): (51.0584215, -0.3447343)

  • City: Horsham

  • Country: UK

  • Additional Information (if any):

This wayspot has been removed from game on 30/04/2025 with no reason given - it is still active in my contributions page

I believe this has been falsely or maliciously reported. However the site is valid and very much a landmark in the local community and serves a community purpose for socialising

Other spots nearby which have been long integrated in the game - so there is no objection to the area for any other reasons

Please can you restore this spot

Just an FYI, at any Wayspot you may have gotten approved in the past that later gets removed still stays in your Contribution Management.

i think the title including Day Center may be a bit confusing, as that usually notes a childcare center. I see that this is at a housing complex for seniors, so this seems more like an community center from the info online:

https://www.saxonweald.com/our-retirement-schemes/hordern-house/

Day center may have confused someone, thinking it was a childcare center, not a community center for those 55 and over.

Thanks for your input here.

I submitted the stop with all the relevant information and justification, including that the community centre is completely separate to the senior accommodation nearby.

It’s a venue for hire and is frequently used to host social clubs for seniors and adults due to the onsite facilities: see Day centres and groups (West Sussex) | TuVida

What needs to happen? Or will it be reviewed by wayfarer admin?

Staff will eventually get to your request. I just wanted to add additional context, as that’s needed in order for staff to make a decision.

Thanks for adding some context.

I got a blunt email from staff saying it was unable to be restored, but with it I didn’t receive any explanation as to why or what has caused them to remove it.

Is there anything else I can do?

Right now, I don’t see anything else needing to be done. Just have some patience, and staff will take a look.

Thanks for the appeal, @Hollywell!After reviewing the additional evidence provided, we’ve decided to restore the Wayspot in question.
