I am wondering / speculating if the company who owns the building asked for the waypoint to be removed?

Niantic has recently been removing lots of graffiti wayspots on the grounds that they’re temporary vandalism that’s likely to be removed. If I had to guess, I would say this removal was likely part of what they’ve been doing.
