Removed Wayspot Appeal

When submitting a Wayspot Appeal, make sure to include as much of the following information as possible:

  • Wayspot Title: PoStencil
  • Location (lat/lon): -34.137373, -70.743358
  • City: Rancagua
  • Country: Chile
  • Screenshot of the Rejection Email (do not include your personal information): there isn’t any.
  • Additional Information (if any): So this wayspot got removed today. I know it isn’t the best quality but i’ve seen worse cases that won’t get removed after reporting them so here’s my appeal and I would also like to get some clarification on why it got removed.

The wayspot is a lamp post that got painted over. It got accepted thanks to an appeal so it was Niantic who accepted to add this to the network, why is it being removed now? Because of low quality? We’ve seen some examples of painted lamp posts (1, 2, 3) that are still there and were the inspiration used submit this as a wayspot. Is it because the one i’m appealing isn’t artistic enough? Or what? Why some get to stay and other don’t? If we paint the lamp post in a more artistic way, will it stay as a wayspot?

If Niantic decides not to restore the one i’m requesting I’d like to ask for the ones i’m showing to also be removed as that would be the fair thing to do.

Los reporte y fue rechazada la petición, no se qué criterios usan pero no parecen ser justos para todos. O realmente se guían por los artístico que sea lo pintado porque son postes en todos los casos y unos si pueden ser wayspot y otros no. Injusto

Thanks for the appeal, @NoctaD. We have taken another look but stand by our decision to retire this Wayspot.
