Wayspots keep getting removed

Dear, a few of us try to put some wayspots in a specific area. After the wayspots become pokestops, they get removed within a few days. Even when good wayspots, they dissapear.

We already know the Wayfarer who keeps reporting these. We would like to know if there are some consequences to those actions? We know this Wayfarer has multiple accounts… It’s makes us quite angry since he already screamed at me in person.

Thanks you for your answers!

Kind regards!

When wayspot got incorrectly removed, you can appeal to reinstate it. Please provide the name and estimate location. You can provide evidence like foto that thewayspot still exist

Dear,

Thank you for the fast response.

I submitted the original nomination on 14/06/2026. I can go take new photo’s, but park is still there.

The name of the wayspot was: Wooden Bridge.

The Google Maps coordinates are somewhere around: 51°10’38.2"N 4°22’28.0"E

Anything else I can to provide?

Take Care!

Presumably this bridge?

Looks legitimate and no obvious reason for it to get removed.

Indeed that bridge. We know the person reporting is doing this with malicious intend… He doesn’t like new pokestops in that area, since my friend is living there.

There’s nothing that would conflict with this, no duplicate. It is safely accessible, does exist and meets criteria so is definitely not ineligible.

You may need to report this, since false removal reports are considered abuse. Can you post the details of the accepted submission?

Here you go!

It is one thing knowing (or believing) for yourself that a specific person is falsely removing wayspots, but sometimes something else is happening.

I still cannot see anything that makes the removal of this wayspot legitimate. I think Niantic need to look at the removal report that caused this to see if it was abusive.

Can you provide current photos or a video of the location to assist with that? Something that can be guaranteed to be current - including something in the video (a newspaper, this thread). It isn’t possible to know what evidence the removal report had on it, but if it was false images (just a possibility), it helps to have evidence overturning that.

Thank you for the help already.

I’ll go over there in the afternoon with a friends phone with date and time. News papers not really a thing. :stuck_out_tongue:

Take Care!

Also, if you have other wayspots that have been removed, please post the details including coordinates. It is worth getting a second opinion before reporting the removals as abusive, and this forum is the best place to do that.

It was a challenge, but here is al picture of the bridge with the date. :stuck_out_tongue:

We will provide info of a few other spots that have been removed in the area. Some of them we’re legimated removed (despite malicious intend), but I’ll provide the other ones.

Another removed one: Fietsroute 52.

Location: 51°10’31.2"N 4°22’42.5"E

As i’ve seen in the other topics, Niantic is not fond of those cycling routes?

These signs are regarded as street signs as these do not mark a named trail and therefore do not meet the wayfarer criteria: Restore disappeared pokestops - #8 by NianticAaron

That’s an example of why it helps to get a second opinion, because it would be unhelpful to include the removal of that wayspot in a report about abuse, since it was correctly removed.

Thank you for the cycling signs info.

Is it possible to reinstate the bridge ayspot?

For now, we’ll try to gather more evidence for abuse in the coming time. Or hope it will all be okay!

Thank you for all the help!

Have a lovely day!

You will need Niantic to provide assistance for the reinstatement.

How do it get their assistance?
