Where do the Appeals team get their training?

It seems like this post got enough traction for the appeal to be looked at again and it was successful.

Thank you :tada:

That’s fantastic news!

Where do the Appeals team get their training?

From my long IT experience with contracting out such labor…
Appeals are mostly done offshore, probably in India or thereabouts. Niantic gave them some instructions, maybe a live class years ago. The contractors add their own notes, and train each over. Turnover is probably high. Maybe Niantic has an annual live seminar. They probably update the documentation when they hear a big uproar about something going wrong.

I live in a non-English speaking country and have had a worse experience with Niantic appeal reviewers. Please don’t waste my precious time on nominations. A park plaque in Japanese on a fence was rejected for the reason “The object in question does not meet the Wayfarer criteria as it is a regular sign.” They didn’t Google translate the title or translate the text on the image! Terrible job.

I’m curious, what does it say?

Google translate of the sign just says Development 23 park. The description of park with single bench doesn’t sound like it would meet any eligibility criteria.

I would agree. There needs to be some evidence that this is a great place that people already go to be social, explore, or exercised.

That description does not make me confident of any of the above.

@kowloonsgt did you address any of this in your supporting information?

@Leedle95 @LetsRollGirl
Thanks for the advice for a mere park. I do not need any further advice as it is a waste of time.
