Fyi to clarify, its not a no-no to mention Pokemon if the store actually carries Pokemon merchandise. It sounds like this is a trading card store, so mentioning that they sell Pokemon cards would be OK.
Well, it was still taken word for word from their website, and that’s third party, and that’s a no-no.
I did a similar appeal accident like that. The wrong wayspot with the correct text. Then I just resubmitted the wayspot and it was pulled into Niantic Voting and denied 
So just be careful. I think they might have a watch list and I know I am on it since most of my older wayspots and edits that were in voting are coming back “our team” now.
Oh yeah. They absolutely have a watchlist of people who have exhibited “bad behavior” and are thus kept under a magnifying glass. I can vouch for that.
Oh I don’t think it is limited to bad behavior. I just have lots of nominations and max appeals all the time. Plus lots of edits with locations and removals etc. Haven’t received a warning email or anything. Just very active on my side and seem to get some bad luck on a few wayspots. These are ones that have poor satellite and outdated streetview in rural areas that are now developed.
One I accidentally appealed, whereas I had nominated it again instead, as it was mismatched location. That was approved by ML. But I meant to appeal a different one since that nomination went into the void. I upgraded my phone and only upload on data when I have 5G+. Otherwise ingress nominations went into the void 50% of the time, but not pokemon go ones on my S22 whether i was on or off wifi 
Anyway, I ended up resubmitting the one I meant to appeal again and it was picked up immediately for Niantic Voting and denied. Then denied on appeal being a generic trail marker.
So I took a break now. But I am back at it. This time I am only submitting trail markers that have names/distances etc. Too bad for those smaller rural areas. Just go to the big parks.
Plus my wayfarer rating hasn’t changed and is still great. I do think more of my nominations/edits are being pulled to Niantic though. I didn’t have the plugin to show the changes, but I know of a few that were in community voting that ended up being looked at by Niantic Voting.
Also had a huge issue with a wayspot that had 3 different wayspot photos on it, but help chat just made a complete mess of that, despite evidence and even moved it to where the police station is It was supposed to be a mural and it was basically on the mural, but meh. They changed it up and pulled my “in voting” edit to niantic and I received the “our team” rejected email. Now I need to remove it.
I’m not convinced appeals are always read in full.
I do wonder if the appeals team have unrealistic targets meaning they have too many appeals to do per hour, therefore have to resolve them within a very short time period and don’t have time to read or check. Maybe they also have targets on the number of rejected/accepted appeals?
That’s the nicest reason I can come up with anyway for what sometimes happens. The inconsistency with trails is my main reason for wondering. I guess just inconsistency in general.
I’ve also had appeal reviewers deny appeals, giving reasons that are either irrelevant to the guidelines, or saying that they violate a specific guideline when it does not. The appeal system is such a poorly designed mess
You are welcome to start a topic and post an example of a submission where you feel it should have upheld on appeal. Post the original full submission and the sort of points you made on the appeal.
Even if you make topics, you dont always get a response, even if you have all the information no response.
