Why did my listing get denied?

I posted a pokestop location and am just wondering/a bit confused why it got denied.
I believe it’s distinct, and it’s definitely permanent as-well as easily accessible to the public.
It’s overall a great nomination I thought.
Any feedback is appreciated.

(I did have misspellings but there in the sub-listing and weren’t mentioned as reasons for our denial)

This looks like a neighbourhood sign? There’s debate on whether they are good Wayspots but some don’t think they are as they’re not a great place for exploration, exercise or being social with others. Just a marker to say you’re in that area.

Others in the US where these are more prominent will be able to give more context.

Just to add in your supporting information, lack of PokéStops doesn’t matter

Without seeing the whole nomination, it is tough to judge. Which of the 3 criteria categories do you think it meets? A great place to explore, exercise and/or socialize.

It’s open enough for exercise/play, and a good spot to socialize while waiting for the bus, or anyone who stops to talk while walking themselves or their dogs.
Also exploration if I can link a route to it.

This doesn’t make for a great place to exercise, as no one is doing that at the sign. Rarely do people socialize at neighborhood signs as well, and this one isn’t anything worth exploring.

I agree with the rejection, as it’s a pretty generic neighborhood sign, especially the ones that you’ll find in the US. It’s also a pretty standard development, looking at it on Google Maps, so this sign could also be seen as indistinct as it may be more of an advertisement than anything else.

Keep in mind that nominations do have to follow Wayspot Criteria, and you should not base your nominations off of what may already be in game. Criteria does change from time to time, and many in the US find these neighborhood/subdivision signs to be indistinct.

A sign is a sign, not what you described… the open area may qualify if you can prove those claims.

This doesnt work like that, literally anything would be eligible if you can just link a route to it.
