Can we see the whole nomination?
That appeal rejection is inaccurate because pubs are NOT ineligible in the UK - they are family friendly locations where you can buy alcohol or soft drinks, and usually food, and socialise.
I’d hope that the appeals team could reconsider this one. UK pubs are very different to US pubs and are a social place for everyone regardless of age.

I’ve had to resubmit shutter art as it sometimes gets erroneously rejected as temporary
But glad that was accepted as it’s great.

This one likely should not have been accepted if it is a tattoo parlor. Those are typically considered adult-only locations.
Yes the pub should have passed. As @frealafgb said if you can post it in full just to check there isn’t something else stopping it. It should have passed in the first place which is why I am interested in the detail. Can you remember what the original rejection criteria was.
I have submitted a lot of pubs. Our town had the highest ratio of pubs to people at one point. And some as landmark / historically interesting sites.

I think that’s incorrect
While the tattoo parlour itself wouldn’t be an eligible nomination, the artwork is fine as its accessible from the street and doesn’t require entering - therefore people of all ages may enjoy it
If the art was inside then Id agree

I disagree. It’s on the location, then it is part of the parlor.
There’s no age restriction on looking at the outside of a building though! You can touch the art from the pavement.

Still disagree. If it was not on the physical site of the tattoo parlor, and the art was unrelated to the tattoo parlor, then I would agree. But this is something that could be exactly on the site of the tattoo parlor, and the art specifically says tattoo are adult oriented Advertising for an adult oriented location.
I should reject murals on Walmart, McDonald’s etc too then?
POI wasn’t a tattoo parlor, it was a MURAL that contained information about the MURAL. You do realize that MURALS are unique pieces of art and a good place to explore, right?
Mod Edit
Rejected, because of “generic business” and “poor quality photo”. These rejections shouldn’t have mattered, because appeal process goes through someone who is supposedly “qualified” in this type of decisions. In the appeal, I’ve explained that this place serves food, provides live entertainment, shows live sports matches, has few pool tables. I won’t show a full nomination, because it doesn’t matter at this point and I don’t want to give these “qualified” reviewers any food for though - you never know with niantic, they might just go and remove every single pub in close proximity. Upgrade, which takes my time to get, is lost and appeal cooldown activated. I’m just sharing what has happened to make people aware.

There’s nothing in the law in the UK that prohibits a kid from entering a tattoo parlour. They can’t legally get a tattoo themselves until they’re 18, but it’s usually fine for them to go into the actual building, especially if they’re accompanying an adult who is there to get a tattoo. Additionally, a lot of tattoo parlours also do piercings, and there’s no minimum legal age for getting piercings in the UK.
So whilst I can understand the concern, I personally don’t see any issues with submitting a mural on the outside of a tattoo parlour, as that doesn’t even require anyone to enter the premises anyway.

Oh yeah, thats a good point too - presumably a child could go with an adult to get their ears pierced there, or to watch the adult get a tattoo.
Either way kind of irrelevant considering the submission is outside
Y’all, this is good conversation but i want to make sure the OP has space to discuss their issues. Should i break off the pub c9nvo and the tattoo convo into separate threads?
No need for that, I think everyone’s done with tattoos and pubs atm.
Im done too to be honest, think I will just end up giving up on the game.
Even most US pubs and breweries should be perfectly acceptable. Most are family friendly with food and non-alcoholic beverages. They’ll frequently have live music. Many (at least here in NC) will have outdoor seating areas and are pet friendly. Some will have trivia or game nights. Several near me have their own running clubs. They should qualify as social gathering spots.
