Can someone elaborate why my nomination is rejected automatically?
I nominated a store that definitely is not generic, but one of a kind.

We dont know how AI work . Only staff know how it work to prevent abuse. But if i may say, its possible that AI didnt detect anything eligible from your photo. Your photo show too much part of the building which might seems ordinary. You can try getting another photo. If all fail and its still rejected, use appeal. You have 2 appeal, each with 15days cooldown. Personally i also need to appeal some of my rejection so dont get too anxious about rejection.
Regarding your supporting information, ite better to provide google map link or similar. People are known to say anything exaggerating to get their nomination approved.
The main photo makes this look just like a generic building that doesn’t meet any criteria.
It is quite possible that even with the description, this is just a generic business that doesn’t meet any criteria. To have any hope of being accepted, your supporting text needs to be a lot better - don’t simply claim things, but show proof.
Hi,
There are 2 issues here.
First so that you are aware there is a wayspot next to this so it won’t be available to appear in the game. Happy to explain further as to why this is the case.
Regarding this location
I would have a photo of the business that was showing the business not the building. I took these from streetview simply to illustrate you would need your own photo.
(Can’t tell if this would qualify as a mural in its own right)
You then need to explain why this is a very distinct place to explore. For it not to be generic I ask myself the question would I go there for a visit that was not just about purchasing something. Do they have workshops or something more than simply selling?
I’ve seen comments in other threads (?) that murals which solely advertise the business aren’t eligible. This doesn’t seem to have any artistic quality outside of being an advert for the business. Admittedly the distinction between eligible and not eligible is blurry.
I’m unclear what this is specific example is. And yes blurry is a good word to use as there are no simple hard lines.
I think a simple painting of the business name or logo is not a mural .
But something that is a painting/ artwork themed around a business, that may incorporate the business name becomes possible - I would go on my judgement looking at the balance of the whole.
I could see it potentially having a case made for or against…….you really need to see the details. ![]()
This is what I was thinking of (one of my accepted submissions), which is a mural on a shutter for a tattoo shop called Mr Personality.
Proving things about my nomination? Is it allowed to add an URL in the explanation? I have nothing to do with this business, but I also went there to look (often). It is packed with authentic American furniture and cool vintage stuff. This store is in Belgium, Europe. I don’t know any simular stores over here, also this is NOT a generic store. This is the only ONE and it exists since 1986.
Yes adding a weblink in the Supplementary text is a great way to demonstrate something about a nomination.
So things on their website that show it is different will help. If there are any facebook or similar pages with comments from people that have visited ( especially if the say they travelled far) that might be a good thing too.
You are trying to demonstrate why this would be a place that people would make an effort to go to.
