Why my submissions are rejected?

When submitting a Wayspot Appeal, make sure to include as much of the following information as possible:

  • Wayspot Title: ნიკოლოზ შიუკაშვილი
  • Location (lat/lon): 41.9151481, 45.4773269
  • City:Telavi
  • Country: Georgia
  • Screenshot of the Rejection Email (do not include your personal information):
  • Additional Information (if any):

Some Russians decided to name it as they like, and I’m trying to rename it as it is, but still getting the rejection email, there are few more spots like this, which also were rejected. We aren’t Russians and we have our own language, Georgian, and every Waypoint has its Georgian name on it, but Niantic decided to reject Georgian and leave Russian instead!!!

Please reevaluate this decision

Hello and welcome,

There is no requirement to use a certain language in any area of the world with Wayfarer, as long as it’s accurate in the language being used. I know that Georgia, the country, has seen an influx in Russians in the last few years, so it’s possible that a Russian speaker may have submitted this instead of a Georgian speaker, and that fine.

Also, the screenshot is for a location edit that was rejected, not a title edit.

If you did submit a title edit, you are more that welcome to appeal it in Contribution Management. All users get 2 appeals every 20 days.
