Will my wayspot turn into a pokestop?

Hello,

I recently nominated a community bbq area for a wayspot and was accepted. I now understand that even though i am accepted my spot may not turn into a pokestop.kind of annoying because i recommended the spot so i can actually have pokeballs to play the game and we have zero spots in my community . Here is the information. Do i get lucky or no?

I would expect this location to sync in as a Pokestop at the next sync, which should be in about 1-2 hours from now.

There is more around there.

These look like communal pool areas which are good candidates ( people in here will advise on how to present them.
And there are some churches nearby.

I just got a report on WDD that someone else did not see a pokestop show up they were expecting. It is possible that today’s sync was skipped, and it will show up the next time sync happens.

This spot also did not populate today. I had received the approval yesterday so i wasnt really anticipating anything until tomorrow. I will update with a status then!

Staff has acknowledged there is an issue, but I haven’t seen a timeline on a fix:

Having said that, there has been an issue with the Pokémon GO sync for last couple of days. All eligible Wayspots will appear on the gameboard once the sync resumes.

Thanks for the heads up!! Here i was just thinking i was unlucky. This is my first waystop so i have probably been a little to invested in it LOL. I will report back in a few days. I appreciate you being reliable

Staff is aware of the issue now and a official post has been made.

Please follow this post for the latest news on when you can expect to see your wayspot in-game​.

Map Sync Issues

Hello Wayfinders, Please be aware that the sync between the Wayfarer Map and Pokémon GO has been down for a few days. The team is aware and investigating the issue. This issue is not impacting any Wayspot creation, updates, or removals on the Wayfarer side but please know that the changes will not be reflected until the sync starts back up again.
