Hey everyone,
I’m new here and would like to get some advice.
We have this tall information wall in my town about local cultural event, festivals, activities or celebrations. This is not used to advertise products, only events.
My submission would be something like this:
- Title: Information wall about local events
- Description: A large information stand about upcoming local events, celebrations, activities and festivals.
- Supporting information: The large information wall is located at the northern entrance of (my towns name) and always provides information about upcoming cultural events, activities, festivals and celebrations in and around (my town).
It’s important for the local community, because the banners for upcoming local events are updated regularly and are providing all important details for upcoming events, so people can socialize with other’s at these events. It’s like a regular information board, only bigger, because multiple banners for several events can be attached to the big information stand.
I am not local so it won’t be me reviewing but I think the following will need to be answered in your nomination.
- Permanent: It does look temporary so you will need to make sure you show evidence that it isn’t. Does it show on historic streetview? Can you create a collage for supplemental images where 1 shows how it is placed (concrete or just pushed in to ground).
- Private Property: Due to it being in the hedge some may vote as Private Property if the building behind is “Single Family Private Residence”.
Good luck.
Thanks for your reply!
I will take of photo of the concrete it stands on. And yes, it has been there for decades and it shows on street view. Also, it’s not on private property. There’s a fence between the property in the background and the information wall. It’s located on that public footpath you see in the picture.
Maybe someone from the Niantic team can answer as well, if this nomination has potential. That would be awesome and much appreciated!
I think the most anybody can state is that “it has potential”.
Unless Machine Learning (eMiLy) decides to Reject It then it will be local reviewers that will make the decision.
If you then don’t agree with a decision you get the chance to Appeal.
My questions above where not meant for you to confirm to me (it will not be me Voting) but things that Voters may have problems with and therefore you need to address in your nomination.
Voters should not accept your word as evidence so use the supplemental info and supplemental photo (you can make a collage for this to show more than 1 angle) to show what you have said.
I think this is a 50/50 so you may have to appeal or re-submit.
Good luck
The team typically doesn’t answer specific nomination questions. As said above, it’s up to you do demonstrate in your nomination attempt how it meets criteria and address any potential rejection issues.
