Yet another bad appeal rejection reason

Ughhhh, look, im not against some of my appeals being rejected, im usually just giving them a go, but seriously? Normal statues, when are statues normal?

Again, I could accept being rejected for say, temporary, which i could understand though they looked fairly permanent.

Especially with how weather beaten they looked

The impression I get from the appeal rejections is that they make a snap judgement, pick a rejection reason fairly randomly from a list and type in a short description to fill in the blank. They definitely don’t type the entire rejection sentence. Recent “normal” and “generic” rejections posted here have been “normal swimming pool”, “generic milestone” and “normal statue”, all of which are objects which are defacto eligible even if they are normal.

It isn’t rejected for being a “normal statue”, but because something about the submission meant the appeal reviewer rejected it. Maybe the photos, maybe the location, maybe the narrative.

I like this submission. They defenitely look permanent to me especially with the information you gave. Hope thie gets overtuned for you.

Technically, I think it’s a Niantic staff member, with Niantic being owned by Scopely. (This is confusing for Ingress players, who continue to refer to Niantic Spatial as “Niantic”.)

Should we start calling them “Team Rocket”, lots believe they are the bad guys (not me though")

Doesn’t help both still ahve the niantic symbol when you boot either game up

I just checked. It’s the identical symbol as Niantic Spatial haven’t got round to adapting theirs yet. Oops.

Here is the logo you’re looking for!

That would work…it just doesn’t appear in the startup sequence for Ingress

Yay I’m glad it was sorted for you! Normal statue, ie normal acceptable PoI
