If this was on SFPRP, then it never met criteria. Next.
Assuming this is in Sandia Park in New Mexico, I think the Description could have been a bit better. Is there an information plaque describing what this is? Is there anything on the Park’s website describing thes objects (as in who designed it, etc)?
Private property did meet criterion in the past. There are probably several hundred portals around my house to demonstrate that fact.
If you’re up for discussing this in good faith at any point in the future, let me know.
Past criteria acceptance doesn’t guarantee current or future acceptance.
No, it likely is private property. And “Sandia Park” is the name of the zip code. It’s not a park in the recreational sense.
Got it. If it’s truly on Single Family Private Property, it won’t get accepted, irrespective of previous acceptance criteria.
Understood. I accept that this portal isn’t a viable candidate today.
Cyndiepooh asked for an example of something that was interesting and would have been acceptable in the past. This is my example.
Fair enough. Sorry, haven’t really read the entire history of this thread, so have missed out some of the reference points.
In the history of Wayfarer, private property has never been eligible.
this is a bad faith claim and you know it. yes certain things slipped through in the portal monkey days but even towards the end of that time they were hard rejects. from the very earliest that we had actual guidelines they were not allowed.
There are hundreds of portals around here that would belie that claim.
No, they would not. Things have been incorrectly accepted. Wayspots on SFPRP are removed when reported.
I do remember when people misunderstood the SFPRP rule to think that being able to be accessed from a sidewalk was good enough, but it has been clarified that it is not acceptable.
Unless the area is on the 6 inch area of dirt between a sidewalk and a public road that is in front of a house, then they aren’t removed. You know my stance so I won’t elaborate.
That said, I stopped reviewing because so much junk was getting through the system. It’s obvious to me my area is either run by voting rings, or reviewers are just approving everything. We have apartment and community entry signs on every block and they all seem to be getting approved in places. One such apartment had 2 identical generic signs at entrances only a few feet apart and both have pokestops (just one large word). I found a PokeStop that was a picture of gravel. One shopping center has a gym and PokeStop from the same general “stained glass” decor used throughout the small shopping center. I went to a city north of me and there were new Pokestops everywhere! All complete junk.
I tried to help the community through videos, but I got 100 views while PokeDaxi tells people a barbershop is a special place in the community and Niantic reviewers should have accepted and his video gets several hundred thousand views. I can’t compete with someone with his audience telling people the wayfarer system is a joke because they won’t approve a barber shop so he can get a gym by his house.
My rant
This post has nothing to do with thread beginning.
Humour warning. Careful @teamnoir people might get the wrong idea - that the koolaid jar is working on you
I am super stoked your noms acceptances are on the up! Onwards as they say. I have to say once I worked it out - my rate went way up. Though when I look at some of my grammar, spelling I wonder how But yeah really nice work on increased acceptance rate.
