Additional Information (if any): It seems that all biking trail markers in this little section of the town got removed at once, but no trail markers anywhere else in town. All markers are still there and are not on any private property or something, so I don’t understand why they got removed.
I am going to link a response from staff on another topic with discussion that may help you understand why these have been removed, or what you need to show to get them reinstated. I do not have signs like these where I live.
When you submitted those signs, did you provide any official info (like Local Authority / Council / Government Website) That shows these as being official Trail Markers?
i did not. I would have if they got rejected but there was no need. but like the other comment said, they are indeed official recreative biking trails, and very popular too
Assuming they are official routes, and with the link, we will need to see what Niantic have to say. There may be a logical reason why they have been removed.
Yep, we keep barking up this tree all we can but they keep refusing to budge, no matter how many times we’ve explained to them how this network functions, how it’s not traffic infrastructure etc.
Those ones ARE acceptable, so I suggest you (and other local Wayfarers) start submitting those en masse. The player reviewers might not like them very much and will probably reject a fair bunch of them, but I guarantee you they will be approved on appeal by Niantic almost 100% of the time. Just look at these ones I’ve been submitting in my area.
these wayspots are distinct, as clarified in the criteria (you can easily identify them)
their official purpose is to explore the country by using a bike, so they meet two acceptance criteria (explore and exercise)
They are not different from the trails in the UK, you only have a lot more choice in NL, Belgium, Germany, France on the exact route (so they promote exploring even more)
I think I have submitted over 150 hiking trail markers already.
It’s so exhausting. Many don’t make it and stay in the list as rejected since appeals are limited.
These days, I only submit the ones that are usefull to me specifically, since I don’t have the appeals avaible for the other ones further away from me.
