Gym disappeared

When submitting a Wayspot Appeal, make sure to include as much of the following information as possible:

  • Wayspot Title: Fietsknooppunt 2

  • Location (lat/lon): 50.893433, 3.776696

  • City: Zottegem

  • Country: België

  • Additional Information (if any): This was one of my oldest wayspot it disappeared. And I don’t see a reason why. The trail marker is still on this location.

Streetview is a little blurry - this is the best image I could grab

@AMG7070 You know more about the dutch trail markers than most (and certainly more than me). Can you say from this if this is one that Niantic approve of or disapprove of?

(Whether that’s enough for it to be removed is a different question.)

This was the original photo for the wayspot.

From what I can tell this is a junction point. So acceptable as far as I know.

Looks likes the photo from @salixsorbus just different. Is acceptable as far as I know, if you don’t misplace and give a good description.

Thanks for the appeal, @Banks200021! We have taken another look but stand by our decision to remove the Wayspot in question.

Hey, can you tell me why this Wayspot was removed.

Eligibility Criteria says that biking trails are acceptable.

Here is a bike route made by Toerisme Oost-Vlaanderen.

That is a government service so that makes this an official route.

These nodes have been discussed at length in the past and have been classified as not eligible. You can read the discussions if you want. Let me see if I can find them.

So bike routes like this one are acceptabele.

But a trail marker that allows you to make your own bike route, follow bike routes of others or official routes isn’t allowed.

That makes no sense.

Indeed. I still disagree, and I have more or less stopped reviewing because of this, as I don’t want to rejects these signs.
