24 Hour in queue- safe to upgrade?

So I know the ML likes to reject nominations it feels doesn’t meet the waypoint criteria. Adding an upgrade immediately poses a risk of ML rejection and wasting an upgrade.

However If a nomination passes 24 hours in queue and ML hasn’t rejected the nomination , is it safe to now apply that nomination with an upgrade?

What’s everyone’s experiences or opinions?

Personally, I wait at least 48 hours after submitting. This is because I have had some ML accepts after 24 hours, but within 48. I also consider if the nomination may be easily accepted before upgrading, or if it’s better to let my local community review it.

Keep in mind that you can upgrade even after a nomination goes into voting.
