can a mod edit “suspension” in the topic title to “cooldown” so that people are not worried that bans are being issued? there might be other translations of this word.

I got a 24h cooldown after 1 review just now. I first got a lot of error messages and clicked retry every time. After some time I finally got a nomination (trail marker), reviewed it and got hit with the cooldown.
I’ve previously reviewed 4500 nominations and have had a Great rating for years. Last review prior to this was probably 3-6 months ago.
Read my mind.

I just did my first review of the challenge (which took around 5 minutes to actually get one to load), and was immediately hit with a “24 hour” cool down (I’ll see if it is actually 30 minutes in around 30 minutes haha). I was considering aiming for 500 reviews, but at this rate I won’t even get 50

Alsonhaving the same issues after two reviews, the site was very slow, ive opened a ticket with support. Both submissions were clearly acceptable locations so assume is due to the speed of the site and having to refresh the page
As you can see, it’s been over an hour since my previous comment and I’m still stuck with a 24 hour cooldown message, so it’s clearly not 30 minutes as you’re saying. I really hope this can be fixed soon. It’s frustrating to set some time aside for reviewing only to be then locked out from doing any reviewing.

Historically, when everyone starts getting the balloon, Niantic releases more nominations, and the reviews flow once more. (Until we do a lot of reviews and hit the balloon again.)

I’ve posted on another thread, but as this seems to be the official bug report thread, adding my name to the list of people who have been given a cooldown after a single review (still locked out after 2½ hours).
I get that the system is designed to detect if there are patterns in your review habits and flag your account if this is the case, but you can’t really check for a pattern from one single review. Please sort it out. I specifically made time in my schedule to do reviews and through no fault of my own I’m being prevented from doing so.

Edit 2 to provide requested details: It has been a few months since I last reviewed, but I have several thousand reviews under my belt prior to me taking a bit of a break. I got a lengthy bouncing balloon followed by an error message. I can’t remember which error it was, but it had a retry button. After 3 or 4 retry attempts it did give me a nomination to review. I looked over it for a minute or so as there was a fair amount of text and a supporting link to check out. During this I realised there was something wrong with the nomination, so I chose to reject it for the reason corresponding to the problem I found. I then got a 24 hour cool down for anomalous reviewing behaviour. My wayfarer rating has not been affected by this.

I reviewed 53 Nominations 2 Hours after the Challenge started with no Problems. My rating tier is “Great”. My location is set in Switzerland between Germany and France.
Today I got a Screen with “Please retry your request” written on it several times. I refreshed until I got my first edit to review.
After that 1 review I got the 24h review cooldown.

The same thing just happened to me.
This is my first time reviewing since the last challenge, I have a “Great” rating.
I was given two text edits - both postboxes
- For the first one both texts had the usual special pleading that comes with these things so I voted none of the above.
- The second one just had two basic descriptions one of which had a little more information (the street corner it was on) so I voted for that.
In between reviews I got the bouncing baloon.

i can also say, for experience, that something is wrong. I had similar experience with 2 POA’S that were about changing location & name and got 24 banned. This was the support answer. I’ve done 2000 reviews, i can say with confidence that i have more than experience to do a review in under 2 minutes lol.

I have still got my 24 hour cooldown message after ~23h, unfortunately it seems we are all going to need to wait out our full cooldown duration since the “geniuses” at Niantic claim that this is not a bug and is in fact a feature. Comical

This is not true. Did you upvote the bug at the top of the topic to bring staff attention to it?
