3 Pokestops just vanished in just one week from one cell

please show me that clarification

removing one of something is not categorical ineligibility

It would be odd for those three only to be reported and removed. There are hundreds probably thousands in Hyderabad alone that are just as removal worthy.

Why those three?

Why can’t older, disabled or ill people play Niantic games in the gyms, swimming pools, tennis courts, gardens, and other interesting common parts of their communal housing?

According to the other post I am already an antique.
Those now eligible as seniors etc were listening rock and then punk rock - we are talkin about my generation as the line goes.
We also picked up the internet and ran with it……and mobile gaming comes out of that.
So even if parts of me start to fail I will want to do interesting things and why not mobile games.

Someone also mentioned they arent eligible as autistic people live there… so we are both on the scrap heap, can’t possibly want to play these games

Are people mixed up about the term “ineligible”? Not meeting criteria is not the same as ineligible. Those words are not interchangeable.

Think people are mixed up about a few things here

Exactly my point man
:broken_heart:

@cyndiepooh Saloon and Parlours only get rejected in Hyderabad to be honest I have seen them as pokestops in other city that have been uploaded and accepted in those cities…

I am now.

Three disappeared @Ironcane07 but you mentioned complexion beauty parlour in your first post which didn’t disappear?

Did you submit that or were you asking something else about it?

I don’t know of any salons or beauty parlors around me (east coast US) that are wayspots.

Talking about India here not the us bro if that’s the case Asian countries have worse pokestops that have been accepted with images :joy::joy::joy:

Having “worse” wayspots getting accepted may indicate that the reviewers need to review the criteria again. No idea how these went up for removal too but restoring/submitting those would require them to have a case for meeting acceptance again.

@paulingzubat I get your point as well brother but at least Vogue Villa shouldn’t have been removed as a pokestop I mean it’s a salon and a fitness gym

Imagine Niantic adding 100 beauty salons and then players seeing them, nominating them and accepting them… Who could have guessed that would happen.

I don’t have an answer to why those have been removed among others particularly. What can be done is to make a better case on why it should be restored if it does meet the current criteria.

Is the salon and the gym separate businesses? Being a gym would resonate closer to eligibility than a salon IMO; a gym is a place to exercise and a salon to freshen up your look. I don’t see where it shows that the salon is also a gym, add proof of this.

I recommend adding your own geotagged photos. Anything to prove it exists at this location and how it would meet acceptance + not meet any rejection criteria.

So people with autism or older folks dont deserve to play games? Im 4 years away from being old enough to live in one of these kinds of places. You better believe that i will be rather angry if some gatekeeper with a false understanding of community integration and aging with dignity gets all my wayspots removed.

Yep, we must be wrapped in cotton wool and protected from damaging ourselves by hearing the noise of players aparrently.

…no acknowledgement that we might be the players

If I was preparing to move to a place like this I would be thinking “can I submit some waypoints”

It literally is

You are saying that people like me and @elijustrying and @seaprincesshnb shouldn’t be able to play and that you would prefer any waypoints within our reach to be removed, in a hypothetical scenario where we were currently in asssited living.

You’re not understanding what aging, illness and disability mean. I’m assuming this means you’ve not been through this either personally or watching someone close to you. That’s good. But please try to understand how youre coming across

  1. Being older doesnt change you as much as young people think it does.
  2. Having a terminal illness doesnt mean you’re immediately dying, or that you stop being you. It’s boring and frustrating, and doing normal hobbies is very helpful
  3. Many people have disabilities and full social lives and multiple interests.
  4. These games really attract neurodivergent people. So picking on autism as a reason to remove waypoints is, wow, I just cant articulate how that makes me feel right now but not good.
