Please patient.

Hello,
We are not staff, we are wayfarers such as yourself. We are just trying to help you understand what you need to prove ready for when staff get a chance to look at it.
Staff will have a name that starts with âNianticâ.
No images had been successfully shown until you made this post. The only evidence at the time was google maps which is out of date.
I believe that the 3rd images is good evidence for the âDiscovery Trailâ as it shows the round building in the background proving the location.
I do not see any evidence for the âInsect Hotelâ.
It seems that you are viewing / replying by email, I strongly recommend that you visit the thread on the website where you will be able to see exactly what we are seeing.
Good Luck.
OK i know but how contact the staff Niantic
Staff will read this post and will comment. You just need to be patient.
in the meantime I suggest posting a similar photo for the âInsect Hotelâ. It needs to clearly show the hotel and something in the background that can be confirmed on google maps.
Good luck.
Actually, it can't be seen on Google Maps because it's a new feature for 2026.
However, here are two photos that clearly show it's a genuine discovery trail.

Probably due to using email to post we are not seeing the images. This is why I strongly suggest visiting the website directly.
This is why I stated to make sure your photo being used as evidence should include the âInsect Hotelâ as well as something in the background that can be seen on maps.
The âInsect Hotelâ on its own could have been taken from anywhere.
In your last set of photos that actually made it to the forums it showed the âDiscovery Trailâ sign (not shown on maps) but also the distinctive round building in the background which can be seen on maps thus proving the sign is where you stated.
It is hard to match these photos to google streetview images. Photos taken from further away showing background such as houses and roads would work better.
Who put the insect hotel there?
Hi, @GGILLES33160! Due to insufficient evidence, weâre unable to restore the Wayspots in question. If you have additional evidence to share, like geotagged images or photosphere, please submit a new appeal with additional information and weâll take another look.
Forum members do not spend their time looking for different reasons to get things removed. Everyone posting on this thread has been assisting the op by tryng to provide explanations for why the wayspots disappeared. The aim of most people here is to have accurate eligible wayspots.
A lot of what has been said would be confusing to someone who isnât familiar with how the system already works, and it is clear by their posts that they donât already know how the system works.
I have clarified it, youâre welcome.
Can I remind everyone that this topic is about a specific appeal and that posts should remain on topic.
This is not true. We have explained what the area looks like to people who are not there and the evidence needed to get them restored. If they should be restored, then we want to help.
OK Thanks for your response
Someone mentioned you in a post.

My post was on topic, asking for it to be hidden because you donât like it doesnât make it less on topic. Refusing to reply to it directly doesnât make it less on topic.
This is exactly what I mean about how you guys donât talk clearly and directly, and instead talk around subjects. Itâs not helpful unless someone is already familiar with everything and knows what youâre actually suggesting, but if they were aware of all of that, they wouldnât be coming here asking questions in the first place.
If you still wish to try an get these back my suggestion would be to use the app âGPS Map Cameraâ.
This adds the GPS Location data on to the actual photo in an easy way. The GPS data is usually stored in the file but can be removed depending on how you send it such as posting here on the forum.
Good Luck.
Example:
Looking at the photos youâve provided, I do belive that these 2 waypoints were placed accurately to the best of your ability. 1 clearly wasnât since it was placed on a house. Niantic is going to need more certain proof like geo referenced photos from the app mentioned above. They can not just act on belief when they remove or reinstate things. Whoever reported these also must have had some proof so you need more solid proof than thiers. In this case one of the two of you could face punishment for abuse (fake points or malicious removal) so Niantic will not make decisions lightly.
I do believe you, so please prove it beyond a shadow of doubt.
