I always like to add the Disclaimer: Do not use knowledge of the cells to misplace nominations to try and get them in to the game. This is classed as Abuse and can lead to warnings / suspensions of Wayfarer and GAMES accounts.

Pretty odd that your reviewers missed such obvious duplicates. Have you noticed any uptick in abuse in your area?
I am using third party tools that sometimes show me wayspots that others arenât seeing, so maybe reviewers werenât shown the duplicate 
I donât see a wayspot there in the OPâs screenshot without tools
I went ahead and reported that duplicate Marqueur de sentier that isnât showing on the tool-free map.
The report was rejected, but I am not sure whether it is because I am not supposed to be seeing that Wayspot, or because so many photos have been added to the other Wayspot.

And neither looks like a tree this old could actually be there to have a marker on it.
And when I try to click on all those photos on Sentier de randonnée they are tiny, like they have been taken from somewhere else.
Of course these are the same photos since itâs the same tree. And I donât see where the manipulation is. Itâs just other photos to feed the Pokestop.
There are two wayspots for the same tree.
Indeed, I confirm YOU ARE RIGHT there is indeed a duplicate. Certainly due to the fact that 2 trainers made the same proposal at the same time. ONE OF THE TWO SHOULD BE DELETED. Sorry, I did not understand your remark.
That isnât how it is supposed to work.
When reviewing, reviewers are automatically shown nearby wayspots. If you have two people both submitting the same thing at the same time, only one will be in voting and the other will be in the queue, waiting.
Once the first wayspot is approved and the second submission goes into voting, every reviewer will see that the wayspot already exists and should mark it as duplicate.
The only way that it doesnât end up being treated as a duplicate is if most reviewers either donât bother reviewing properly and take no notice of nearby wayspots despite being explicitly told to do this, or know it is a duplicate and donât care.
The first Wayspot nomination at this location was a fake nomination: La forĂȘt de Saint-Aubin - #9 by GGILLES33160 The image was edited, with the sign inserted into the scene.
I think NIA is aware of the first fake nomination at this location. I wouldnât trust their nominations at this location at all.
