so many cemetery and gravestone at US nominations

This one is literally a dead area.

I’m interested if that sways how people vote if they would not normally accept a cemetery.

YES! Sooo many cemeteries! It seems strange to be asked “is this a good place to socialize and exercise”? :joy:

I actually got that exact same cemetery nomination yesterday and I was torn on how to judge it. Generally, I see no major problems with most cemeteries, but with this one, for all I know, this could be a private family cemetery on private property that they don’t want people rummaging around in :man_shrugging:

I never thought about that

It would be unusual to have that here so it didn’t cross my mind.

I admit, it is probably much more likely to not be a private family cemetery, or something of that nature, but there were enough red flags, for me, to make it seem at least possible. At the very least, it wasn’t a slam dunk decision one way or the other in my mind. When I am reviewing areas that I am unfamiliar with, and I can’t see things from street-view in order to verify or get more context, I default to erring on the side of caution.

Normally I’d reject but I looked around and they had about three churches as Wayspots spread over a big area.

I accepted before I posted… Probably the incorrect decision

Eh…you win some you lose some. The world keeps turning. Lol.

On a side note…out of the 21 reviews I have done so far today, 15 of them have been cemeteries. I am not sure how I feel about that

i’ve got the same one now.
from my point of view, it’s kinda odd to be a common cemetery, not close to a village, not very close to a chapel for easy access and gatherings.
and seems it is a bit remote on a dirt road, so not very open to public so to say

Oh thank’s

My voting on cemeteries is quite easy:

a) reject it
b) it is an outstanding, perfect nomination (never happend so far) → a)

I get no agreement for that? It doesn’t matter.
Aaron tells me not to do so? I’ll skip it.

This cemetery is a special case for me (really).
If the submitter give me the proof, that this is an official setting for a horror film, than I probablly accept. But I know that nomination → a)

I was always uneasy about cemeteries having stops and gyms, especially in early days of Pokémon Go with big, excited crowds moving in on a spot at once - definitely seemed like a disrespectful energy. Nowadays there’s only small groups typically at best playing at the same time (in my experience, even on community days). There are some cemeteries locally with large, beatiful walking paths and others truly are historical which make them explore-worthy and can be nice for a peaceful walk. I still have never played through a cemetery myself but try to be more open about why some nominate and value these wayspots.

It’s obviously remote and it’s not near any of the graves.

I’m going to guess it’s not that busy…
