Accepted Wayspot not appearing in Pokémon GO

Hello,

I would like to ask for clarification regarding one of my accepted Wayspots.

Wayspot Name: Neighborhood Playground

Coordinates: 35.225560, 33.380953

It was accepted by the Wayfarer community and is marked as “In Game” on the Wayfarer Map.

However, it has not appeared in Pokémon GO even after more than 48 hours.

Could a Niantic moderator please verify whether this is expected due to Pokémon GO inclusion rules (such as proximity or cell limitations), or if there is another reason why it is not appearing?

I am only looking for clarification so I can better understand how this accepted Wayspot is being handled.

Thank you very much for your time.

Mod edit: Removed the personal identifiable information from the screenshot

Welcome to the forum.

I am not a moderator, but I can see that Neighborhood Playground is in the same cell as Children’s Playground Exercise Equipment which is already a pokestop, so it does not meet inclusion rules the community has discovered.

fyi, if these are both the same playground, the equipment should not have been submitted or accepted separately. Playgrounds

I would also like to give you a pointer on the title you chose. “Neighborhood playground” is really too generic. You should include the name of the neighborhood to make it distinct from all the other neighborhood playgrounds on the map. (Though in this case, it may be a duplicate and shouldnt have been accepted at all.)

IMO: The “Exercise Equipment” is the 1 trying to hide the true purpose with the image showing what looks like a double seesaw.

With fairly recent streetview showing this area completely different I wonder what evidence was used to confirm the location.

I am also surprised that a “Clothing Support Box” was accepted.

With all these it makes me wonder if the local review area is lax when reviewing “within criteria”..

Thank you for your feedback.

I would like to clarify that these are not the same object.

The existing Wayspot, “Children’s Playground Exercise Equipment,” represents a separate piece of children’s fitness/play equipment located at approximately 35.225697, 33.380887.

The newly accepted Wayspot, “Neighborhood Playground,” is the larger multi-play playground structure located at approximately 35.225560, 33.380953.

Although the two play areas are close to each other, they are distinct physical structures with different functions and separate locations. The accepted nomination accurately represents the larger playground and was reviewed and approved by the Wayfarer community.

My concern is not about the acceptance itself, but that the accepted Wayspot has not yet appeared in Pokémon GO, even though more than 48 hours have passed. I would appreciate it if a Niantic staff member could verify whether there is a technical issue preventing it from syncing into the game.

Thank you for your time.

This is not eligible to appear as a Pokestop or gym as I said before. Here is a visual:

For a more in depth explanation see Why an accepted Wayspot may not be used in Pokemon Go (S2 cells and Pokemon Go)

(Never submit anything away from where it actually exists to put it in an empty cell!)

@cyndiepooh has already stated (and repeated) the reason that your nomination will not be used as either a stop or gym in Pokemon Go.

I still don’t understand how this can be a fact. They are both “Children’s Play Equipment” which makes the area a Children’s Play Park.

Criteria states…

There is only 1 exception and that is if the areas are designed for different age groups which does not seem to be the case here with both aimed at the younger age kids.

Final Comment:

  • I so not Review in your area but if I saw thin in an area where I do I would definitely reject as Duplicate. If that is wrong you would need strong evidence to support it.

  • As it will not be being used as a stop / gym and looks too close to be a powerspot there is little reason to report it apart from accuracy but if anybody did I would see it being agreed by staff,

I think this conversation as reached the end (and further) so I will step back.

Good luck with future nominations.

If it’s approved but in an occupied cell, it won’t appear in game because of the density limits. It doesn’t matter what the object itself is or whether or not other people on this forum think it should have been approved.

Such stops CAN migrate over to being power spots under certain conditions, but those conditions are not met in this case.

You could try having a pin moved to an unoccupied cell (the northernmost (blue circled) spot in the picture looks very close to the line on the north side and that cell isn’t occupied). But only do this if that would be a better spot to represent the object in the real world also, not just for game purposes! (for example, I did this once to clear a conflict, but it was a mural and the original pin was several meters away from the actual wall, while the new location in the unoccupied cell is where the mural actually is.)

I am not sure what point you are trying to make here.

We try to educate on this forum, and the fact is that individual items on a playground should not be submitted or accepted as stated in the clarification linked.

Suggesting that someone look into moving a pin to an empty cell without being able to see that it is an actual correction of the game board to match the real world location could lead to them getting a sanction, and is something I would never do.

The point I was making is that the wayspot IS approved, so the technical explanations would apply. Whether or not anyone thinks it SHOULD be would not affect the observed behavior.

Thank you for the accusation of making that suggestion without the caution that I did, in fact, include…. “But only do this if that would be a better spot to represent the object in the real world also, not just for game purposes!”

For someone “trying to educate”, coming down on someone hard for not saying something they did say is a shocking lack of reading comprehension or civility.

I actually had quoted that piece and I don’t know why it isn’t in my reply.

Oh so even with the warning, you’re saying it should not be mentioned ever at all?

No. I was saying I did not understand what your point was about the individual piece of equipment was. You have explained. Then I expressed that I would not have even suggested moving the wayspot when I could not see on the map that it was an actual correction, because we have seen so many people get bans for that. I have often suggested a move when I am sure it is a clear correction. My intent with that was to make sure the OP understood.

As the conversation has moved on I will say that “a better location” sounds vague and open to interpretation.

IMO: Location Edits should only be attempted for “Incorrect Locations”, As long as the waypoint is somewhere on the playground which an individual play equipment would represent then it would be deemed “correct” and could lead to warnings / suspensions.

Remember: The OP is new to the forums therefore could be new to Wayfarer so any advise should be extra clear.

Added: Your edit was from an Incorrect Location to a Correct location so was legit. “A better Location” makes it sound like the advice is to move a “correct location” to what the OP thinks is a better “correct location” which is not legit.

I think that you’re disregarding the rest of the sentence in nitpicking that word choice. I (thought) the whole sentence clearly conveyed that I meant only if it better represented the real world object.

A friendly reminder to everyone: please keep the discussion respectful and focus on the topic rather than each other. Disagreements are welcome, but personal attacks, insults, or hostile comments are not. Let’s keep this a constructive conversation for everyone

Just a general reminder to not get side tracked by some specific points that have come out.
@kemalatakan94
There are 2 distinct issues.
Although both wayspots have been approved, for your future information it would appear that both should not have been submitted.
It would helpful to see some photos showing both pieces of play equipment ( describing a see-saw as children’s exercise equipment is not appropriate) we can then feedback to improve your future submissions.
In the assumption that you did correctly pin ( as you should have) then attempting to move it to appear in game would not be correct.
Again a photo that allows accurate assessment of the see-saw would be needed.

To step back a minute and look at the original post - this area seems to be a car park/rubbish dumping area from satellite and street view.

There’s no evidence of any kind of playground or fitness area here.

It would be good if you could share images of the area as it stands today, with these buildings included as a reference, so as to prove these PoIs actually exist. Otherwise they appear to be fake or mis-located and should be removed or corrected.

bonjour,
exemple, vous pouvez notifier l’orientation cadastrale(nord, sud etc..) .

Streetview is from September 2025, so only four and seven months before the clothing charity collection and swings (respectively) were submitted. Since streetview and aerial images make this look like a location that wasn’t about to be changed anytime soon, some evidence of these wayspots being real would be helpful.
