I got two POIs approved: one nearly 3 months ago and the other about 2 weeks ago. However, when I check now, I see this message: “This wayspot is used in other Niantic games,” but it hasn’t shown up in Pokémon GO yet. Where did it go?
Right now, there’s an event in Wayfarer India, but still I haven’t received it. We’ve used all our time and resources to make this a Gym, but we haven’t received anything. What is going on?
Does that mean those two aren’t showing up in Pokémon GO?
Hello and welcome @sahin1991
It is likely that although approved as a wayspo, it has not met the Pokemon Go selection rukes which are based around some mapping software.

If you can tell us where this wayspot is (co ordinates are good) we can check.
Hello!
For this one I did a search for Tellus Park in India and think I have the right place.

Though the prompt says you’re nominating a PokéStop, you’re not. You’re nominating a Wayspot which may become a PokéStop if it meets inclusion rules tor the game. For this, it is one Wayspot per S2 L17 cell will be a PokéStop. If more are added they won’t become PokéStops.
See below:
The red marker is where your nomination is. The other dots are all Portals in Ingress, as this is an Ingress map. One of those dots will be the PokéStop for that cell so yours didn’t meet inclusion rules and won’t be added to Pokémon GO.
As a side note, it isn’t added to Ingress either as for a Wayspot to meet those inclusion rules for Ingress, it needs to be 20m away from existing Portals.
Hope that helps, though I know it won’t be the answer you wanted.
Hey, thanks for the clear explanation. Yes, this is the exact location.
However, these are the places that have actual points in reality. If we move any outside of this cell, it means that the POI is not accepted due to the Rejection Criteria.
These two places are eligible to be a Wayfarer, and I accept your inclusion rules. However, if the nearby cells don’t have any eligible places or objects, in that case, we can proceed with this as eligible, like a gym, right?
Thanks for the reply. Please check the comments below; that is the exact location.
You shouldn’t move things outside of the cell just to have it appear in a game. This can be considered abuse especially as you noted
so nothing needs moving. This is the S2 L17 cell just above (I’ve left in the Ground Water Tank to make it clear).
If there is something eligible there (or any other empty cell like it) then yes, a Wayspot there would become a PokéStop once accepted.*
*A small exception to this that does crop up from time to time is a geoblock, that can be done by a property owner, meaning even if something meets the inclusion rules it still wouldn’t appear. Happens rarely and I don’t think it applies here but wanted to mentioned it for future.

So, based on your review, there’s no way these two Wayfarers are not going to make it to the gym or PokéStop, right?
Correct. The one you shared will not be a PokéStop.
You didn’t give coordinates or anything for the second one but I would guess it’s the same situation
The second one is the ‘Ground Water Tank.’ You’ve already seen that.
I’ve already been notified once by the team because of one submission. That’s why I’m worried that if I make another one in the S2 L17 cell, it could be worse.
I have another question: I’ve seen many PokéStops and gyms very close to each other in main areas or main road. How did that happen?
Sometimes this happens just because of the way the cells line up - I know of several places like that.
Sometimes it can be because a sponsored gym has been added in addition to those already there.
Sometimes it can be due to malicious edits in the past which are now not possible.
I would urge you to look at the area and the S2 cells carefully and then concentrate your efforts on what lies within the empty cells to find eligible things to submit.
Have you read up carefully about the S2 cells?
You don’t need to have the new stop that will trigger a gym in an adjacent cell but within the same Level 14 cell.
If you find new objects do post here first and we will advise if its a good choice.

Either by abuse, or the PokéStops are very close to the cell lines
Is there any way to contact the team and inform them about this? It’s possible they will check.
Okay, you might be right. But still, I won’t leave this untouched. Because I need this, I will try very hard for its acceptance.
Sorry I’m not sure what you would like checked.
The wayfarer team are responsible for the wayspots on the map and where they are located.
The Pokémon Go team uses a computer algorithm to select the wayspots that meets the criteria the Pokémon Go team have decided.
There doesn’t seem to be anything to check.
Or have I misunderstood?
Yeah, I’m the same.
I just checked with you to see if there’s any way to appeal like that. that’s why i asked.
There is no appeal route for places that are correct.

As Eli says, there’s nothing incorrect with this Wayspot.
It just doesn’t meet inclusion rules for Pokémon GO. So nothing to be appealed.
