I am seeking clarification regarding the account warning I received for “Misplacement of Wayspot Submissions.”
The warning appears to be related to a nomination I submitted on June 19 for a picnic and grill area located near the volleyball courts. I completed the nomination and took the photos while physically present at the location, and I placed the pin at the actual point of interest where the in-game submission form recommended based on my location, and did not move the location pin.
After receiving the warning, I reviewed the nomination and realized that the title I used may not have clearly distinguished this picnic and grill area from other nearby points of interest. If the title or description contributed to confusion during the review process, I would appreciate understanding how that resulted in a determination of misplacement.
Could you please provide additional clarification regarding what specific aspect of the nomination was considered misplaced? I am trying to better understand what I did incorrectly so that I can avoid making similar mistakes in future submissions.
My intention was to accurately submit a legitimate point of interest at its real-world location, and I would appreciate any guidance you can provide regarding the reason for the warning.

The title edit should not have had any effect on you receiving this warning, as that warning is purely for the location accuracy of the pin.
If you can find the email you received when you initially submitted this wayspot, scroll down to where you can see the pictures of what you submitted, and you should see some coordinates in brackets below the photos. These are the coordinates that you submitted your nomination at. If you could provide them as they are shown in the email, that may help us to help you.
These are the coordinates: (39.238037, -76.863128) that I submitted the nomination through the game and shown on the email. The satellite view will show a tree and the grill area is a permanent feature located under the tree to provide shade for visitors. The grill is located just south of the volleyball court, see photo that was uploaded. The volleyball court already an existing waypoint, coordinates: 39.238230, -76.863609.
Hmm…That looks accurate. Is that the photo you used for the main? Did you submit this multiple times? Did you use the “contact us” option to appeal this decision?
In the area there is another picnic area near the parking lot with a large grass field between the two areas. So maybe this caused some confusion. I also uploaded that submission the same day and that waypoint was approved with no issues. Coordinates: (39.238315, -76.862518)

Yes, I did also used the contact us option to appeal but did not receive any email back.
They will reply. Also, staff will often initiate a DM to open a private conversation on posts like these. I would wait for staff to respond. Hopefully you can get resolution on this.
