Account Warning

Hello Wayfarer Support,

I am seeking clarification regarding the account warning I received for “Misplacement of Wayspot Submissions.”

The warning appears to be related to a nomination I submitted on June 23. I completed the nomination and took the photos while physically present at the location.

Could you please provide additional clarification regarding what specific aspect of the nomination was considered misplaced? I am trying to better understand what I did incorrectly so that I can avoid making similar mistakes in future submissions.

My intention was to accurately submit a legitimate point of interest at its real-world location, and I would appreciate any guidance you can provide regarding the reason for the warning.

Thank you for your time and assistance

Hello and welcome,

The community here will try to help understand what might have happened.
To do that can you post your full submission please including the location that it was pinned at. You will find that on the email you got acknowledging submission - like this…

Sure, here is the Screenshot

I don’t see this building at the location you used:

I was about to say I can’t see anything matching what I can see of the building.
Can you post the photos and text of the nomination

I think this is the correct loaction:

So it appears, that indeed you misplaced the pin when submitting the wayspot, so the warning is correct. If this is your first warning, you should be fine, it is just a one day warning, to make sure your next nominations are more accurate.

You should be very careful for the next year, as the next warning is a 30 day ban for wayfarer and pokemon go. After 12 months, the warning will be erased from your record.

In general, our advice is always to check after submitting if the location was accurate, most of us have experienced the fat finger syndrome, where the pin was misplaced, so we had to remove our nominations from the queue.

Yes, exactly, that should be the correct one. But when I was standing there, I had already submitted it; perhaps my GPS messed up. Thank you

You shouldnt rely on just gps. Manually ensure that the pin is positioned correctly. Based on what i see, thats quite a lot distance. Be careful moving forward for a year. You have 1 year redemption period where your strike will be gone after 1 year of clean record.

Had you done any wayfarer related activity at the point that the system placed the pin?

If you are within 10km you might find it easier to submit via wayfarer site websubmit as you can do this at home on good wifi and check the location carefully.

The distance is approximately 150 meters.

So was ist explizit nicht erlaubt laut Wayfarers Kriterien

True, but not a reason to get a warning.

I would say if you fail the criteria this much you should get a notification though

I’ve never seen the warning regarding violating the wayfarer policies for this reason, only if someone is spamming incorrect wayspots.

If you have any other nomination in queue or in voting, i suggest you to recheck. If its missplaced, you can withdraw it as long its in queue. If its in voting, you can ask help chat to withdraw you nomination.
