Is this officially permitted? Can someone please enlighten me?
I don’t think this is officially “ineligible” but how does this meet the criteria a Wayspot must meet?
Must meet at least one of the three eligibility criteria
- A great place for exploration
- A great place for exercise
- A great place to be social with others
These seem like community message boards to me. Are these frequently updated with what is going on in the community? Or are they just used for large scale advertising? That’s how I would judge.
I can’t read what’s on the first one due to the reflection, but the one with the Sparkasse ads definitely looks like an ad board.
If this was a true community board, then it wouldn’t be full of business advertisements. If these are solely used for business advertisements, I don’t find them very distinct; most people probably just walk passed them without much thought of stopping.
We had the column type ones on my University campus that had lots of great/random community information. That I would accept. But it sounds like these are showing large scale advertising and not something that the local community can engage with. If that’s true, I would pass on these.
All tables and columns are advertising
It is location dependent. That’s why I gave the example of my University.
Community boards typically have posts from the community in regards to current and upcoming events, reminders about garbage/recycling pick-up days, who to contact for maintenance, etc. There may be a couple business advertisements, but most are from a community member.
And yes, universities and colleges have many of these, depending on where they’re located, and many groups on campus can use them for free to post about their events coming up or different services provided on campus, like from the fitness center or library.
Again I would have to point you to this for an answer:
Must meet at least one of the three eligibility criteria
- A great place for exploration
- A great place for exercise
- A great place to be social with others
I can’t see how this meets any of the main three criteria.
