General Query

Can community area signs get accepted as waypoints?

Do you have any images of what these are like?

Got rejected for being generic business

If this is just the sign with the name of the development, I do not see how it meets any of the criteria of a great place to exercise, explore, or be social and I would not submit or accept this.

However, there are a lot of reviewers who mistakenly accept any sign, so you may see these as accepted Wayspots, and they don’t typically meet any removal criteria, which is much stricter than acceptance criteria.

This is how I reject signs like these as well.

I see, thanks for sharing a picture - I wanted to make sure I knew what you meant.

I do not think a sign like this meets any criteria.

If there’s an area within the gated community for people to gather and socialise or exercise (like a seating area, sports facilities, etc) then that could be eligible, which is why I asked because I wasnt sure if thats what you were referring to.

Still I feel like this should be accepted because it’s a kinda a landmark sign and community areas so tend to have parks places to rest and to workout as well few communities have athletic courts in then as well

Understood

Yeah I would definitely submit those items, just not the sign for the area if that makes sense

The things you listed inside sound like they can be accepted

You may have a better chance with this although better doesn’t mean it’s good just better than the blue sign.

Any gazebos nearby maybe…:upside_down_face:

Lol I’m never going to upload another gazebo because last ones were removed even though they exist and I got flagged for nothing :joy::joy:

Well it’s good to know you won’t submit Gazebos……I hope you are learning wider lessons about what is acceptable. Submitting things correctly may take longer but in the long term it is more sucessful.
Happy to give advice on what is suitable.

Edit: to avoid any confusion around these comments this refers to this person using the same photo of a gazebo multiple times at different locations.

I recently got two such signs accepted, including one being an appeal.

Someone had got one approved:
Terrace Villas Community on Makati Circle (37.249162,-121.806056)

I thought that was annoying. I knew of one other similar sign on the other side of the complex. I took some pics of it, but never got around do doing anything with them. But then I found a third, and thought, what the heck, maybe I can use a rejection as a way of getting rid of the other one.

So I nominated that one and it was (surprisingly) approved:
Terrace Villas Community: Musto Avenue (37.250536,-121.80617)

So I tried again, this time using the one I had previously known about. It was rejected, and I appealed, referencing the other two, using the argument “If you can’t accept this one, you should get rid of the other two as well”.

So, they approved it. :-/

This did not go as planned.

Did something change with respect to gazebos that I missed?

This is very specific and relates to another topic where this individual submitted multiple copies of a single gazebo picture at different locations, fake wayspots.

I shall amend the post in this topic to make context clear.

This one does meet criteria in a way in that it is a map.
