Information Signs

Hey all, back at it with more questions for yall.

I was wondering, in my local area there are these POI’s that are accepted Wayspots signs placed by the local Council, attached is what they look like.

Now, what I was wondering is it the image below could be accepted as a “Information Sign” The sign below usually shows what major events are happening in the cities surrounding the village. It looks very similar to the ones that are made by the council, however, this one does not have the “Council” logo usually at the top, so I think it is community ran.

Planning on going out when the Wayfarer Challenge starts to submit 3-5 wayspots around this area, just wondering if this could get accepted.

Thanks a ton!

Just to let you know, only edit contributions will count towards the next challenge, not Wayspot nominations.

As for the one that doesn’t have a council name on it, I think you’ll have to make sure to provide good context to why it should be a Wayspot, as well a good title/description.

If you know what council/city/neighborhood it was put up by and/or for, make sure to include that in the title and description. Make sure to note that it’s a sign that provides the local area with info about upcoming community events, similar to community bulletin boards.

I do find these good places to explore, as they infrom the community, and some may like to meet up together at these signs, so there could be a social aspect to them as well.

Appreciated. I’ll reply to this post as to if the wayspot gets accepted or not.

These are called noticeboards (could be different if your from the south or north but it’s noticeboard for the east midlands). 99% of the time they are accepted even if they don’t have the name of the council on them. The only time I’ve had one rejected is when it was reviewed by the AI and it was on the outside of a wall for someone’s property, I’m pretty sure that if the community reviews them they’ll get accepted 99.9% of the time. The purpose of these are to promote events, businesses or meetups etc if you didn’t know. I’ve had a couple of nominations where you literally just pin pieces of paper onto a board without a protective front accepted, so the community knows what these are and will usually accept them most of the time.
