I found a place (plus a playground not far from there which I am sure I will try and get submitted at some point) that I am unsure if it meets the criteria or not. It looks like a function room that can be hired out. On the surface, it looks like their target audience is the Indian community, but that doesn’t mean that others can’t use the venue. As it’s publicly accessible and is a function room, would this qualify as a suitable nomination? I do believe it’s a good place to socialise, when an event is on… but not sure if that is enough.
It looks as though it’s a great place to be social……
My one doubt is around its current status I found 1 current reference most seem older. So I have a question as to whether it is still operational so if you submit find a link that shows it is still operating.
It’s definitely operational as I know someone who was there yesterday attending a function. I will need to check if I can find a link to show that it is still operational.
I have submitted and accepted event spaces. I believe they meet criteria as a great spot to be social, as that is their purpose.
It sounds good to me from what’s been said! Definitely a good place to socialise
Event venues are great places for people to gather and be social. As long as you explain that in your description it should work just like a community center or fellowship hall would. Just be sure the pic you use for it doesn’t have the car license plates in it.
The image in my OP was from Google Maps. There won’t be any intent of nominating the location with the license plates.
Oh I could tell it was, but I’d gotten a nomination rejected awhile back for a license plate I didn’t even notice was in the pic and I figured that was an easy rule to forget; and that place looks busy enough to always have a lot of cars under the sign.
