AI Rejections?! Is there a way to force a community review?

Hey,
A ton of my nominations that are really good (ex. community gardens and memorial benches) keep getting pulled and auto rejected by the AI. I nominate so often that relying on appeals simply isn’t an option to ensure I can get all my nominations through. Is there a way to request a community review especially since I nominate so much. I have heard discussion about keeping it on hold for 3 days, but mine got auto rejected no joke 10 minutes after I released them from hold. Is there any way around this?

Good day and welcome!

It seems the inner workings of the AI filter is kept under wraps so as to not abuse it, that also comes with the frustration of not having an answer on how to reliably escape it.

That said, you’ve mentioned memorial benches, making sure you’ve read what has been mentioned in Seating Benches

It may help posting examples here to see if there can be improvements in your submission. Or as something to show the team about the limitations of the filter as it is today.

There is no avoiding the ML filter to my knowledge. From community observation, it seems to act around 20-24 hours after creating the submission. Time spent on hold or in upload later to by pass this time does not stop it from checking every nomination once released. It can reject, send to in house review, or leave for the community to decide. Anything you have heard to try to avoid it is wrong.

You can try resubmit a few times by changing angle or cropping. If all fail, appeal is ur other option.

Personally i also appeal some of my rejection by AI

Welcome to the forum! I sympathize with the frustration. Please share whatever has been auto rejected - the community will be happy to advise on the ones that warrant a resubmit.

Hi! That happened to me too. I tried to nominate a Wayspot several times, but it kept getting automatically rejected by the AI. Interestingly, one time I only changed the title — keeping the same photo and description — and it went through to human review.

This is interesting. I have temple nomination rejected by community because private residence. Resubmit with same pic and name but more description and better supporting but denied by AI(it was previously rejected by community). Resubmit few more time with cropped photo but still denied by AI. I thought the photo maybe got “marked” by AI, so I just appeal then. If still rejected i will need to come back take another photo.

Same here. I tried changing everything, but the AI kept rejecting it. The only time it passed to human reviewers was when I changed the title and kept the original description and photos. However, even if the title triggers the AI filter, we don’t really know which words we can use to pass through it. In my case, I just replaced ‘Lavoir’ with ‘Fountain’. So maybe the AI tends to reject titles that it’s less familiar with or can’t easily categorize.
