I do a nomination for a community garden every few months, and it keeps getting rejected for different reasons each time, it’s not real, the place isn’t real, it’s not man made etc etc I change nominate to adhere to previous rejection yet still I can’t get it through.
Annoyingly about 300 meters away there is a pokes top been granted for a statue in someone’s private garden, and there are other community gardens that have been accepted in local area.
I have in the past mapped my nomination one similar way the accepted gardens not sure what I need to do to get accepted
A picture of flowers does not show that this is a community garden, and the black bars on the photo make it seem like it’s not a photo you took.

This was a decision by the AI, because the email said “our team has decided”
The AI probably just saw flowers and doesn’t recognise what it is. Reviewers are also used to being able to reject “natural features” ie a picture of grass, flowers or a tree
Is there anything within the garden that you could get into the main picture, which could help? A seating area, signage, gate, or any man-made art? Those things can help
I like the idea of nominating little gardens, but they can be very difficult to get accepted

I didnt even register that but yes, it looks like they submitted a screenshot of a photo rather than the full photo
If the garden was featured in the newspaper, you can add a link to that story in the supporting information
The actual rejection reason will be on your contributions page, but since it was a decision by “our team” it was probably the ML (machine learning ai) that rejected it, and the reason is probably “Wayfarer criteria”
Submit a photo that does not have the black bars. If this is a third party photo, that is not allowed. Flowers are temporary, so that should not be the focus of a garden nomination. The focus of the nomination needs to be something that is permanent, usually something manmade like a sign or gate, and that is readily identifiable as a garden.
LOL realized @frealafgb had already said a lot of this after I typed it. Agree you should add a link to the article in the supporting in case it makes it into community voting next time you submit.
You can report the statue for removal if it is on SFPRP - single family private residential property.
