All of my stats have disappeared

I logged into Wayfarer tonight for the first time in ages and was treated like a new user… I got an intro and all of my stats have been zeroed out. Per my ingress stats I have 25,614 OPR agreements and I remember having something close to a hundred upgrades banked. I just found a screenshot of my old stats from March 2024.

I’ve always been primarily an Ingress player and was in at the beginning of the OPR Beta many years ago.

I recently deleted my PoGo, MH, and Pikmin accounts. Is that what ate my stats?

That will almost certainly be the reason for it. There’s been plenty of previous reports of Pokémon Go players deleting their Ingress accounts and having wayfarer stats reset as a result.

Please start a ticket with the help chat bubble about the issue.

Thank you both. I’ve started a support chat.

I wonder what happens to my Ingress stats if I start reviewing again. It would be ungood if I lost the stats that I have been building since November of 2016.

That’s what it was, and that’s brutal. I wanted to delete some of my data to avoid having it transferred to a foreign company, and because I hadn’t played those games in age. The unadvertised price for doing that was losing nearly a decade of the work I did to make Niantic’s games better. Well, that and 93 (!) upgrades.

RIP OPR/Wayfarer for me. November 2016-April 2025.

Hello Explorer,

Thank you for writing in.

After reviewing, we have discovered that the termination of the Pokémon GO account at your request resulted in the reset of the Wayfarer account stats associated with the email address [redacted]. Once the stats are reset, we won't be able to recover them.

We appreciate your understanding. And our apologies for the inconvenience.

Regards,

You have my empathy :people_hugging:

@NianticAaron @NianticOren
Is there anything that can be done please or is it too late for this account?

@elijustrying Thanks for the suggestion but I shouldn’t get special treatment. Niantic should either fix the issue and restore everyone’s Wayfarer history or they should fix the issue and send direct apologies to anyone who lost all of their work through no fault of their own.

I know from a data dump that they have those stats stored. I also know that my “Account Creation Time” for OPR was “2016-11-18 06:18:51 GMT”.

Welcome back)

Just to clarify, the recon stats didn’t reset? That would make sense - recon did not match wayfarer stats exactly, especially after double recon point events. Maybe it still goes up as we speak when you get new agreements?

That’s Scopely, not exactly Niantic.

Don’t want to derail the post, but now I’m curious if Niantic Spatial has copy of wayfarer stats and upgrades, to show in the new ingress wayfarer.

@holdthebeer Has the Scopely deal closed? I thought it was pending regulatory approval. When I deleted my PoGo etc. accounts a week and a half ago I was talking to support @ nianticlabs.

The stats I mentioned above were specifically from an Ingress data dump from 2021, details below. A lot has probably changed in the last four years but at the time this dump was taken Ingress seems to have a whole lot of OPR/Wayfarer data.

I have an OprAssignmentLog that has the ID and date of (presumably) everything I have reviewed. I also have an OprSkippedLog with the same fields.

I have an OprProfile that has these fields:

"Email Address",
"Bonus Last Changed",
"Bonus Location",
"Account Creation Time",
"Total Analyzed",
"Portals Created",
"Portals Rejected",
"Hometown Changed Times",
"Hometown Last Changed Time",
"Hometown Location",
"Last Activity Location",
"Language",
"Last Login Time",
"Performance",
"Quiz Status",
"Quiz Time Taken",
"Training Completion Time"

I also have an OprSubmissionLog that looks to be a list of things I’ve reviewed. It has these fields:

"Candidate ID",
"Assigned Time",
"Comment",
"Rating for Cultural",
"Rating for Text",
"Is Duplicate",
"Duplicate of Portal",
"Rating for Location",
"Suggested Location",
"Rating for Quality",
"Rating for Safety",
"One Star Submission",
"Time",
"Rating for Uniqueness",
"What is it?"

I have an opr_agreements file that contains a date and a unique portal ID. Interestingly, some of the unique portal IDs appear more than once. This one, whatever it was, appears 18 times:
